Google will launch Gemini AI in 2024.

According to Engadget , Google introduced Gemini at I/O 2023, touting it as a platform model with impressive multimodal capabilities during training. Initially, Google planned to launch it before the end of the year, but sources revealed Gemini was struggling with non-English queries, causing CEO Sundar Pichai to delay its release.

Gemini is designed to handle a wide variety of applications, combining different data types such as images and text for more advanced tasks. In May, Google stated: "After being refined and rigorously tested for security, Gemini will be available in a range of sizes and capabilities."

Gemini is also expected to bring improvements to Google's existing AI products and AI enhancements, such as Bard, Google Assistant, and Search. However, given the importance of this release and the dominant competitor OpenAI's established market position, Google seems unwilling to risk releasing Gemini too early.
