Hanoi: Temporarily suspends kindergarten teacher who abused girl

Late afternoon on July 9, speaking with CAND Newspaper reporter, Mr. Pham Bach Dang, Chairman of Bo De Ward People's Committee (Hanoi City) confirmed that a case of a teacher abusing a girl student at a kindergarten had just occurred in the area and the ward police had made a specific report. Currently, the girl is being taken by the authorities for injury assessment.

According to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bo De Ward, the teacher admitted to beating the child. Currently, the People's Committee of Bo De Ward has requested the temporary suspension of this teacher from teaching. "The ward's viewpoint is to handle it strictly, not to cover up, and not to let similar situations happen again. If the results show sufficient grounds, the authorities will initiate prosecution of the case," the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bo De Ward emphasized.

Previously, according to the reflection of a parent named T, the incident happened on July 5. Mr. T's daughter, born in 2021, studying in class C2 at Gia Thuy Kindergarten (Bo De ward, Hanoi ) - was beaten by a teacher named V on July 5.

That same afternoon, after picking up their child from school, while bathing the child, the family discovered a large bruise on the child’s back, a sign of injury. Immediately afterwards, the family took the child to the National Children’s Hospital for a general examination and check-up; at the same time, they reported the incident to the school.

On July 8, Mr. T's family asked the school to review the classroom camera. Images extracted from the camera showed that his daughter was dragged, brutally beaten, and even thrown against the wall by Ms. V. Not stopping there, the teacher continued to drag the girl into the hallway and continued to assault her. Another girl lying next to her was also grabbed by the legs by Ms. V., dragged upside down, and thrown onto the bed.

The child’s family then reported the incident to Bo De Ward Police. Currently, Bo De Ward Police are summoning and working with relevant parties to investigate and clarify the incident.
