
At noon on June 20th, the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting announced that the northern delta and midland regions were experiencing a heatwave with temperatures at 1 PM generally ranging from 35-36 degrees Celsius, and exceeding 37 degrees Celsius in some areas.
In the area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang City and the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak, hot and intensely hot weather is expected. Temperatures at 1 PM will generally be 36-38 degrees Celsius, with some areas exceeding 38 degrees Celsius. Humidity will generally be 55-60%.
According to the meteorological agency, on June 20th and 21st, hot weather in Northern Vietnam will mainly occur in the plains and midland areas, with maximum temperatures commonly ranging from 35-37 degrees Celsius, and exceeding 37 degrees Celsius in some places.
From June 22nd to 24th, the heatwave will spread throughout Northern Vietnam, except for Lai Chau and Dien Bien provinces. Maximum temperatures will generally range from 36-39 degrees Celsius, with some areas exceeding 39 degrees Celsius.
Areas likely to experience temperatures of 39 degrees Celsius are concentrated in the Northern Delta region, including Hanoi, Hung Yen, and Ninh Binh.
In Central Vietnam, hot weather will continue for the next few days in the area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang City and the eastern parts of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak.
From now until June 25th, the intensity of the heatwave will continue to increase, with maximum temperatures commonly reaching 36-38 degrees Celsius, and exceeding 39 degrees Celsius in some areas. Specifically from June 22nd to 25th, temperatures will generally be between 37-39 degrees Celsius, and exceeding 40 degrees Celsius in some places.
From June 26th onwards, the heatwave in Central Vietnam will continue, but its intensity will tend to decrease gradually.

The National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting also stated that on the evening and night of June 20th, the mountainous areas of Northern Vietnam will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms, with rainfall generally ranging from 10-30mm, and locally heavy rain exceeding 90mm.
In the southern part of the Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam, scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue with rainfall amounts generally ranging from 10-30mm, and exceeding 60mm in some areas. Rain will mainly occur in the late afternoon and evening.
