Infrastructure is the foundation for development.
Developing socio -economic infrastructure, especially transportation infrastructure, technological infrastructure, and urban infrastructure, has been identified as one of the province's strategic breakthroughs. In this context, the Department of Construction plays a core role, directly advising the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on planning management, construction order, urban development, and technical infrastructure.

Over the past year, the Department of Construction has proactively advised on and implemented many key tasks in planning and infrastructure development. From transportation planning and urban planning to the management of technical infrastructure, these have been gradually reviewed and adjusted in a synchronized manner, in line with practical realities. As a result, the urban landscape in the province is becoming increasingly modern and civilized; transportation and technological infrastructure are gradually being improved, contributing to raising the living standards of the people.
Despite numerous challenges in practice, such as a lack of comprehensive and integrated planning in some areas, inconsistent transportation infrastructure, and many roads affected by landslides during the rainy season, and urban infrastructure in some areas not meeting development requirements, the Department of Construction has frankly acknowledged and clearly assessed the causes, ranging from limitations in resources and technical personnel to the new requirements of the two-tiered local government model.
In the context of Tuyen Quang province, after its merger, facing a historic opportunity to reorganize its development space, the leading role of the Department of Construction is even more evident. The Department has advised on identifying infrastructure development as a key task and a foundation for the province to maintain double-digit economic growth in the coming term.

One of the key tasks proposed by the Department of Construction is to reorganize development space in conjunction with digital planning management. Accordingly, the revision of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, is determined to be integrated and synchronized, clarifying dynamic areas, growth poles, and development corridors such as the Tuyen Quang- Ha Giang Expressway and National Highway 2. The Department of Construction also advises on the application of GIS and BIM technologies in building planning databases, gradually increasing transparency of information, creating favorable conditions for investors and management.
"Paving the way" for growth
In the transportation sector, the Department of Construction plays a leading role in advising on investment and developing the infrastructure network in a synchronized and sustainable manner. Besides focusing on completing the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway, the Department has advised on upgrading and synchronously connecting national highways such as National Highways 2, 2C, 279, 280, 4C, 34, and provincial roads DT.176, DT.177, DT.183, DT.189…, creating inter-regional connectivity axes to serve socio-economic development and tourism.

Beyond just main transportation routes, the Department of Construction also advises on the sustainable development of rural transportation, linked to the construction of new rural areas and the development of commodity production. The integration of various funding sources and the promotion of the principle of "the State and the People working together" have contributed to gradually improving infrastructure in remote, mountainous, and border areas.
Comrade Le Thanh Son, Director of the Department of Construction, stated: In urban development, the Department clearly defines the principle that urban infrastructure must be one step ahead. Essential technical infrastructure projects such as main traffic arteries, water supply and drainage, wastewater treatment, waste disposal, and digital infrastructure are prioritized for investment in a synchronized, modern, and environmentally friendly manner. The orientation towards green cities, smart cities, and ecological cities is gradually being realized, improving the quality of life for the people.
To realize its major goals, the Department of Construction has advised on numerous solutions to mobilize resources, promote public-private partnerships (PPP), reform administrative procedures, and apply digital transformation in construction management and investment projects; while also focusing on improving the capacity of its staff, civil servants, and public employees.
A new spring is knocking at the door. On the newly opened roads and in the emerging urban areas, the advisory and managerial imprint of the Department of Construction is clearly evident. Breakthroughs in infrastructure construction are not only a professional task but also a heartfelt aspiration of those working in construction – those who are quietly "paving the way" for Tuyen Quang to rise strongly in the new era.
