The most captivating highlight of this exhibition is the outdoor display space called "The Heritage Route." Here, visitors can travel back in time with large-scale 3D models of Asian saber-toothed elephants, giant gibbons, ancient rhinoceroses, and dinosaurs... based on archaeological discoveries at Na Duong and other historical sites within the park. This visual presentation creates a realistic experience, particularly appealing to young people and tourists who love exploration .
Furthermore, the interior space is scientifically arranged with hundreds of representative images and artifacts. The content is divided into two distinct parts: Part 1 - Geological Heritage and Biodiversity in the UNESCO Global Geopark Lang Son region, displaying maps of tourist routes and destinations, paleontological fossils at some typical heritage sites, images of landscape formation, natural heritage and biodiversity in the park area; Part 2 - Cultural Heritage of the UNESCO Global Geopark Lang Son region, introducing some images of typical tangible and intangible cultural heritage such as historical and cultural relics, traditional costumes, Mother Goddess worship, Then singing and Dan Tinh playing... multiple parts, focusing on clarifying themes such as: unique geological and geomorphological values; ecosystems and biodiversity; traces of human habitation through historical periods; and the treasure trove of traditional cultural heritage of ethnic groups living in the province.
Lang Son Geopark was established in 2021 and officially recognized as a Global Geopark by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on April 17, 2025. The park covers a total area of 4,842.58 km2 and has a population of approximately 627,500 people, equivalent to about 58% of the province's area and 78% of its population. This area holds immense value in terms of geological heritage and the evolutionary history of life, boasting beautiful natural landscapes, preserving biodiversity, and preserving the long-standing cultural and historical traditions of the local ethnic communities. This exhibition aims to widely introduce the outstanding values of the UNESCO Global Geopark Lang Son to the public; thereby raising awareness and fostering pride and responsibility within the community in preserving and promoting these heritage values. |
The meticulous investment in both content and form has created a strong appeal for the exhibition space. Since its opening, the exhibition has attracted hundreds of visitors. Many locals and tourists who have entered this space have expressed their admiration and pride.
Ms. Hoang Quynh Trang from Luong Van Tri ward shared: "I was very impressed with the exhibition space and the images and artifacts. The images and artifacts were arranged very scientifically, giving me a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the precious geological and cultural heritage values of the UNESCO Global Geopark Lang Son. The experiences at the exhibition have motivated me and my family to plan as soon as possible to visit and explore these heritage sites in person."
Ms. Trang's feelings are similar to those of many tourists who come here. Organizing the exhibition in conjunction with the Peach Blossom Festival not only enriches the spiritual life of the people but also provides a golden opportunity to promote the image of Lang Son UNESCO Global Geopark to the world.

Mr. Nong Duc Kien, Director of the Provincial Museum, said: In implementing the plan of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism regarding the organization of the Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival and other activities celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026, the Provincial Museum proactively developed a plan early on, mobilizing maximum resources to organize and implement it. From content development and selection of documents and artifacts to decoration and publicity, everything has been meticulously prepared to ensure the exhibition is solemn, attractive, and effectively serves the needs of the people and tourists for visiting and learning.
The exhibition features valuable documents and images showcasing archaeological sites, scenic spots, caves, limestone mountains, valleys, rivers, and streams, helping viewers better understand the geological formation process over hundreds of millions of years that created the distinctive and unique landscape of Lang Son province. Beyond their scientific value, these geological heritage sites are also closely intertwined with the lives, production, and cultural activities of the local ethnic communities.
Mr. Nguyen Gia Quyen, Head of the Museum's Professional Services Department, said: "The highlight of this exhibition is the outdoor display space 'Heritage Route' of the UNESCO Global Geopark Lang Son. Accordingly, we have arranged 3D models of several dinosaur species, reconstructed based on research and discoveries by archaeologists at archaeological sites within the park, to give visitors the most realistic experience."
Organizing the exhibition at the beginning of spring, in conjunction with the Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival and other activities celebrating the Party and the Spring Festival, not only contributes to enriching the cultural and spiritual activities of the people but also creates favorable conditions to promote the image of the UNESCO Global Geopark Lang Son to tourists from inside and outside the province. Locals and tourists visiting the exhibition expressed their admiration for the scale, content, and display methods.
The exhibition will run from now until January 27th, 2026 (Year of the Horse), promising to attract even more visitors to explore and learn about the value of the UNESCO Global Geopark Lang Son.
