The TNSV THACO Cup 2025 football tournament has a record number of participants (from the first season of 2023 to present), with 67 teams from universities, colleges, and academies across the country participating in the competition, including: 66 qualifying teams and the host team Ton Duc Thang University (playing from the final round).
Accordingly, the qualifying round of TNSV THACO Cup 2025 has 66 teams divided into 6 regions competing from December 28, 2024 to January 18, 2025, including: the northern region (December 30, 2024 - January 10, 2025 at Thuy Loi University Stadium, Hanoi), Central Coast (January 6 - January 12, 2025 at Military Zone 5 Stadium - Da Nang), South Central and Central Highlands (January 10 - January 18, 2025 at Nha Trang University Stadium), Southeast (January 4 - January 12, 2025 at Bau Thanh Stadium, Ba Ria - Vung Tau), Southwest (January 8 - January 17, 2025 at Can Tho Stadium) and Ho Chi Minh City (December 28, 2024 - January 15, 2025 at Ton Duc Thang University Stadium). The 11 qualifying teams, along with the host team Ton Duc Thang University, will compete in the final round of the tournament from March 1 to March 16, 2024, following the same format as the current U.19 and U.21 tournaments.

- The northern region has 9 participating teams, divided equally into 3 groups. The teams compete in a round robin to calculate points and rank. The two teams that finish first in the group and the second team with the best results will play a play-off, selecting 2 teams to participate in the final round.

The two teams that finish first in the group and the second team with the best results will play a play-off, selecting 2 teams to participate in the final round.
