On the afternoon of July 3, at Nha Trang Stadium (Khanh Hoa), Thieu Nien Tien Phong and Nhi Dong Newspapers in coordination with the Vietnam Football Federation and the Department of Culture and Sports of Khanh Hoa province organized the opening ceremony of the final round of the National U13 Football Tournament - Yamaha Cup 2023.
The final round of the National U13 Football Tournament - Yamaha Cup 2023 started from July 3 to 14 in Khanh Hoa with the participation of 16 teams that have performed excellently in the qualifying round of the tournament in 3 regions: Thai Binh, Quang Nam and Tay Ninh, including: Haduwaco Hai Duong, PVF, Hanoi, Viettel, Luxury Ha Long, SHB Da Nang, Hanoi, Song Lam Nghe An, Hong Linh Ha Tinh, Binh Duong, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Tay Ninh, Dong Thap, Dak Lak, Navy Phu Nhuan and Khanh Hoa.

The teams were divided into 4 groups to compete in a round robin format, with the top 2 teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals. Previously, the qualifying round brought together 34 teams from 28 provinces and cities nationwide.
After the opening ceremony, in Group A, the home team U13 Khanh Hoa lost to U13 Dong Thap 0-1. Before that, the tournament had 3 matches including: U13 SHB Da Nang won U13 Tay Ninh 5-0, U13 Song Lam Nghe An won U13 Dak Lak 6-0, U13 Viettel won U13 PVF 2-0.
On July 4, the tournament continued with matches of groups C and D including: U13 Hoang Anh Gia Lai - U13 Luxury Ha Long, U13 Binh Duong - U13 Hanoi, U13 Hanoi - U13 Hong Linh Ha Tinh, U13 Navy Phu Nhuan - U13 Haduwaco Hai Duong.

Journalist Nguyen Phan Khue, Editor-in-Chief of the Young Pioneers and Children Newspaper, Head of the tournament organizing committee, affirmed: “The tournament continues to be an attractive professional sports playground with high professional quality, helping children have the opportunity to practice and foster their love of football. This is also a place to discover and nurture young talents to contribute to the development of Vietnamese football in the future.”
