On June 4th, the area around Dak Loc Lake (North Nha Trang ward) became the focal point for the off-road vehicle enthusiast community as the competitions of the Victory Challenge 2026 Off-Road Sports Car Race continued to take place with great enthusiasm.
On a natural terrain featuring steep dirt slopes, muddy sections after rain, and many rough rocky areas along the streams, the racing teams had to constantly coordinate their driving skills, terrain reading abilities, and vehicle endurance to overcome the challenges.
Many spectators also gathered along the competition areas to watch the races between the advanced and professional categories.
The highlight of the competition was the pickup trucks and SUVs that had been specially modified for off-road use. Many were equipped with large off-road tires, long-travel suspension systems, tow winches, and external protective frames.
Whenever the engine accelerates uphill or plunges through deep mud puddles, the roar of the engine echoes throughout the lake area, creating an exhilarating atmosphere.
In some technical challenges, drivers must maneuver their carts slowly over steep inclines or navigate man-made obstacles requiring high precision.
Even a small mistake in choosing the approach angle or distributing traction force can cause the vehicle to get stuck, wasting considerable time.

Racer Nguyen Trong Toan (Nui Hong Song Lam team) said that the terrain at Dac Loc Lake this year presented many challenges for the athletes, especially the steep slopes interspersed with muddy areas.
"Each test requires the driver to carefully calculate how to approach obstacles, choose a suitable route, and coordinate with the guide. Just a few seconds of inaccurate handling can cause the vehicle to lose momentum or get stuck," Toan shared.
According to the organizers, Victory Challenge 2026 will take place from June 3rd to 7th at Dak Loc Lake and the Hon Do area, bringing together approximately 60 racing teams competing in various categories.
During the first two days at Dak Loc Lake, the advanced and professional racers kicked off a series of challenges considered the most difficult of this year's season.
