The Long Xuyen City People's Council passed several important resolutions.

On the afternoon of June 27th, the 12th term of the Long Xuyen City People's Council (2021-2026) held its 18th (special) session to address emerging issues as requested by the Chairman of the City People's Committee. The session was chaired by Mr. Vo Thien Hao, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Long Xuyen City People's Council. Mr. Tran Minh Duc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Long Xuyen City People's Committee, also attended the session.

Delegates vote to approve the resolution of the session.

Vo Thien Hao, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Long Xuyen City People's Council, delivered the closing remarks at the session.

At the meeting, delegates heard the Head of the Finance and Planning Department, acting on behalf of the Chairman of the City People's Committee, present two reports and three proposals related to the city's budget revenue and expenditure for 2025; the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025; and the provincial budget investment plan to allocate funds to the city's budget for 2025. These are important contents that will serve as a basis for the City People's Committee to manage and allocate the city's budget in accordance with the Budget Law and the Public Investment Law, saving on expenditures while ensuring the operation of the entire political system of the city from now until the end of the city-level administrative unit's operation.

In a spirit of democracy and responsibility, the city's People's Council delegates discussed and unanimously voted to approve three resolutions related to the management of the medium-term budget and public investment in Long Xuyen City in 2025.

In his closing remarks at the session, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Long Xuyen City People's Council, Vo Thien Hao, requested the City People's Committee to direct the City Finance and Planning Department to implement the resolutions effectively and on time according to the law before the city-level administrative unit ceases operation and transfers its responsibilities to the new wards and communes.

The 18th (special) session of the Long Xuyen City People's Council, 12th term (2021-2026), was also the final session, concluding the activities of the City People's Council. Mr. Vo Thien Hao, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Long Xuyen City People's Council, respectfully acknowledged the sentiments and practical contributions of the City People's Council delegates to the overall development of the city over the past period. He also expressed his hope that the City People's Council delegates would continue to participate in activities and make many contributions, working together to successfully implement the political tasks in the four newly established wards and communes.
