Long Xuyen City People's Council passed many important resolutions

On the afternoon of June 27, the People's Council of Long Xuyen City, term XII (2021 - 2026), held the 18th session (special session) to resolve arising issues at the request of the Chairman of the City People's Committee. The session was chaired by Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Long Xuyen City, Vo Thien Hao. Attending the session were Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Long Xuyen City, Tran Minh Duc.

Delegates vote to pass the meeting resolution

Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Long Xuyen City Vo Thien Hao delivered a closing speech at the meeting.

At the meeting, delegates listened to the Head of the Finance - Planning Department, authorized by the Chairman of the City People's Committee, approve 2 reports and 3 Submissions related to the city budget revenue and expenditure in 2025; the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025 and the provincial budget investment capital plan to allocate targets for the city budget in 2025. These are important contents for the City People's Committee to serve as a basis for managing the allocation of the city budget in accordance with the Law on Budget, the Law on Public Investment, saving expenditures but still ensuring the operation of the entire political system of the city from now until the end of the operation of the city-level administrative unit.

With the spirit of democracy and responsibility, the City People's Council delegates discussed and unanimously voted to pass 3 resolutions related to budget management and medium-term public investment in Long Xuyen City in 2025.

Speaking at the closing session, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Long Xuyen City Vo Thien Hao requested the City People's Committee to direct the City's Finance and Planning Department to implement the resolutions effectively and on time according to the law before ending the operation of the city-level administrative unit, transferring to the new wards and communes to continue performing the following tasks.

The 18th session (special session) of the 12th Long Xuyen City People's Council (term 2021 - 2026) is also the last session, concluding the activities of the City People's Council. Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Long Xuyen City People's Council Vo Thien Hao respectfully acknowledged the sentiments and practical contributions of the City People's Council delegates to the overall development of the city in recent times. At the same time, he hopes that the City People's Council delegates will continue to participate in activities and make many contributions, join hands and contribute to successfully carrying out political tasks in 4 new wards and communes.
