According to statistics from the Department of Education and Training, Long An province currently has 101 public and non-public schools and 384 private independent kindergartens and preschools registered to organize summer activities in 2025. Of the more than 20,375 children registered to be sent toeducational institutions during the summer, most are concentrated in private independent kindergartens and preschools. The organization of summer activities is carried out with the permission of the leaders of the Department of Education and Training of districts, towns and cities, ensuring safety, compliance with regulations and close supervision from management agencies.
Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training - Huynh Phuong Vu informed that in order to strengthen management, especially for groups and classes of children during the summer, the Department of Education and Training directed the Departments of Education and Training to coordinate with the People's Committees at the commune level to review and fully update the list of preschools and kindergartens that organize summer activities in the area; at the same time, strengthen inspection and management of private independent preschools and kindergartens, resolutely not allowing unlicensed facilities to operate.
At the same time, the Department also promotes propaganda on children's rights, skills to prevent violence, injuries and create a safe and friendly learning environment. Summer activities are organized in a diverse manner, focusing on life skills education , along with healthy recreational activities such as music , painting, physical education and sports to create a space for comprehensive development for children.
In Tan An City, Long An Province, Sao Mai Kindergarten (Ward 3) has developed a plan to organize summer activities with a focus on ensuring safety and caring for children. The school has assigned teachers and staff appropriately according to regulations: Each class has 2 teachers in charge, medical staff, and security guards on duty throughout the day.
The Board of Directors regularly inspects classes during mealtimes, playtimes, and study times to promptly detect and handle arising situations, creating a safe environment for children during the summer.

This not only helps parents feel more secure when sending their children but also contributes to enhancing coordination between families and schools in caring for and keeping children safe during the summer activities.
Huong Duong Kindergarten (Ward 2, Kien Tuong Town) has organized summer activities for 3 consecutive years, thanks to which the preparation work has been carried out methodically, focusing on ensuring food safety and hygiene and preventing epidemics as well as accidents and injuries for children.
Principal of Huong Duong Kindergarten - Nguyen Thi Chien said: "Regarding food safety and hygiene, the school strictly follows the 3-step process, fresh food every day is taken from reputable suppliers. We organize an on-site kitchen to proactively control the quality of ingredients, food portions and safety in children's meals".
