According to the Ministry of Transport, in Decision No. 1579/QD-TTg dated September 22, 9 of the Prime Minister approving the Master Plan for development of Vietnam's seaport system in the period 2021-2021, with a vision to 2030, Lach Huyen port area has the function of a gateway combined with international transshipment, with container terminals for ships from 2050-6.000 TEU, general and bulk cargo terminals for ships up to 18.000 tons, and liquid/gas cargo terminals for ships up to 100.000 TEUs. ton; Passenger berth for ships up to 150.000 GT.
