TPO - Many people lined up at train stations waiting to buy tickets for the weekend experience. Many passengers said they plan to use this mode of transportation long-term because it is convenient and reasonably priced.
The Nhon - Hanoi Station Metro line continues to attract a large number of passengers on weekends, even though the free trial days have ended. |
After 15 days of free service, starting August 23rd, the Nhon - Hanoi Station metro line (metro line 3) will enter its commercial operation phase with fares. |
The Nhon - Hanoi Station metro line primarily targets students. Although the elevated section is only 8.5km long, it passes through 11 universities, including: Hanoi University of Industry, Hanoi University of Commerce, Hanoi Pedagogical University, member universities of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Academy of Journalism and Communication; and Hanoi University of Transport. |
On Saturday morning (August 24th), long lines of people continued to queue to buy tickets to experience the Nhon - Hanoi Station metro line. |
According to observations by reporters from Tien Phong newspaper, the train carriages were almost completely full during the morning rush hour. |
Over the weekend, passengers, mostly young people and middle-aged individuals, eagerly and excitedly took advantage of the opportunity to travel and experience the route. Currently, with only about ten days left in the month, the operating company is only applying the offer to customers purchasing single-trip or day passes. Monthly passes will allow passengers to use the service starting in September 2024. |
According to the current fare scheme, a single-trip ticket costs 8,000 VND, while a full-trip ticket costs 12,000 VND. A day pass costs 24,000 VND, is valid for one day, and has no limit on the number of trips. People enjoy the journey, with a travel time of just 12 minutes for the entire route. |
| For the first three months, the Nhon - Hanoi Station metro line will start at 5:30 AM and end at 10:00 PM, with trains running every 10 minutes. After that, adjustments will be made based on passenger demand to best meet the travel needs of passengers on the line. |
"Compared to the Cat Linh - Ha Dong train, we find the Nho Son - Hanoi Station train more modern, smoother, and faster. We'll wait until they sell monthly passes to buy them because using the train is more convenient than the bus, avoiding long traffic jams," said Hai Ha, Ngoc Linh, Tue An, and Phuong Anh. |
