According to talkSPORT , Crystal Palace coach Oliver Glasner would “immediately agree” if offered to lead MU. This source also confirmed that Glasner using a similar formation to Amorim is not an obstacle, because MU’s current problem is not in the tactical system, but in the way of operation and the ability to connect the squad.
Glasner's current contract with Crystal Palace expires at the end of this season. There has been no move to extend it.
Glasner took over Palace in January 2024. In just a short time, he helped the club win the FA Cup, the Community Shield and become the only team still unbeaten after 6 rounds in the Premier League this season.
The British press praised Glasner's coaching talent and considered him a "phenomenon" in the Premier League for nearly a year.
However, when asked about the future, Glasner shared on Kicker that he remained calm in the face of rumors and only focused on daily work with the Palace players.
According to BBC , MU will initially give Amorim time until the end of the season to prove his ability. But if results continue to decline, the possibility of changing the entire coaching bench is entirely possible.
In addition to Glasner, Andoni Iraola (Bournemouth) and Marco Silva (Fulham) are also other targets of MU.
