According to talkSPORT , Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner would "immediately agree" to an offer to manage Manchester United. The source also claims that Glasner's use of a similar formation to Amorim is not a problem, as United's current issue lies not in their tactical system, but in their operational approach and ability to connect the team.
Glasner's current contract with Crystal Palace expires at the end of this season. There has been no move to extend it.
Glasner took over Palace in January 2024. In a short time, he led the club to win the FA Cup, the Community Shield, and became the only team still unbeaten after 6 rounds in the Premier League this season.
The English press has praised Glasner's managerial skills and considered him a "phenomenon" in the Premier League over the past year or so.
However, when asked about his future, Glasner told Kicker that he remains calm in the face of rumors and is only focused on his daily work with the Palace players.
According to the BBC , MU will initially give Amorim until the end of the season to prove himself. But if results continue to decline, a complete change of the coaching staff is entirely possible.
Besides Glasner, Andoni Iraola (Bournemouth) and Marco Silva (Fulham) are also other targets for MU.
