Hieu "Hoa Hong" arrested for fraud.

On October 10th, the Nam Tu Liem District Police in Hanoi announced that the Criminal Investigation Agency had initiated criminal proceedings and temporarily detained Nguyen Trong Hieu (31 years old, from Bac Ninh province) on charges of fraud and appropriation of property.

According to authorities, Hieu did not have a stable job. When he learned of the demand from residents of Times City for renting or buying parking spaces in the underground parking garage, Hieu conceived the idea of ​​committing fraud.

Hieu joined groups on social media platforms in the Times City urban area, posting information about available parking spaces that he wanted to rent or sell. After Hieu posted, several people contacted him.

Hieu requested these people to send information about the vehicle and transfer a deposit to complete the registration process. After receiving the deposit, Hieu misappropriated the money for personal use.

Furthermore, after obtaining information and images of several cars, including a Vinfast VF8 with a Hung Yen license plate, Hieu used the Facebook account "Hieu Hoa Hong" to post an advertisement selling this car on the "Vinfast VF8 - VF8 Vietnam" group to defraud buyers of their deposits.

Authorities determined that, using this method, Hieu had defrauded at least 7 victims.

The Nam Tu Liem District Police are announcing that anyone who is a victim of Hieu should contact the General Investigation Team to provide information at Alley 25, Nguyen Co Thach Street, My Dinh 2 Ward, Nam Tu Liem District.
