TPO - On September 25th and 26th, at the Bac Ninh City Cultural and Sports Center, the Bac Ninh Provincial Youth Union held its 6th Congress for the 2024-2029 term, with 220 delegates in attendance.

During the past term, the Youth Union at all levels throughout Bac Ninh province has intensified propaganda activities, concretizing the contents of the "I Love My Homeland" movement, linking it with fostering revolutionary ideals and enhancing patriotism among young people.

Simultaneously, through practical and innovative solutions, the Youth Union at all levels has implemented the "I Love My Homeland" movement among a large number of young people, concretizing the contents of the movement into criteria and targets suitable to the characteristics of the locality and unit.

The campaign "One good news story every day, one beautiful story every week" continues to be actively supported and widely implemented by all levels of the Youth Union on websites, social media, fanpages, and newsletters of the Youth Union and Association, receiving enthusiastic participation from a large number of young people. The "One good news story every day, one beautiful story every week" section on the website and fanpage of the Bac Ninh Provincial Youth Union and Association has published over 800 news articles, attracting hundreds of thousands of likes and shares from young people throughout the province.

To promote the entrepreneurial spirit and support youth economic development, the Youth Union at all levels continues to implement the "Supporting Youth Entrepreneurship" project for the period 2018-2025. To date, the Bac Ninh Provincial Youth Union has provided loan support to 179 youth entrepreneurship projects, with a total outstanding debt of over 148 billion VND.

The Youth Union branches at all levels in Bac Ninh province have implemented and designed community-oriented volunteer activities to encourage young people to proactively address social welfare issues. These activities focus on participating in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; protecting the environment; responding to climate change; and sharing difficulties with people and children.

In the first half of the term, facing the severe impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Youth Union branches at all levels in Bac Ninh province mobilized a total of over 20 billion VND for pandemic prevention and control. More than 570 youth volunteer teams, "Green Frontline," with the participation of over 7,300 volunteers in localities, carried out pandemic prevention tasks.

During the past term, the Youth Union branches at all levels in Bac Ninh province mobilized support for the construction of 95 new charitable houses and the repair of 316 houses for disadvantaged individuals and families entitled to preferential policies, with a total value of 8.7 billion VND.

Volunteer programs to provide healthcare to the people have been effectively implemented by the Youth Union branches at all levels in Bac Ninh province, spreading widely throughout the community and society with activities such as consultations, medical examinations, and free distribution of medicine. During the past term, the Youth Union branches at all levels provided free medical examinations, health consultations, and medicine to over 27,000 people; and disseminated information on disease prevention to 18,420 students.

During the past term, the Bac Ninh Provincial Youth Union organized various activities to improve communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem-solving, critical thinking, teamwork, international integration, and positive attitudes in learning, work, and life. These activities met the legitimate needs and aspirations of young people and were in line with the trends of the times. The Bac Ninh Provincial Youth Union organized six psychological counseling programs for high school students.

Effective programs, models, and activities for young workers are organized by the Youth Union at all levels in Bac Ninh province in a variety of ways, including health and legal counseling, recreational activities, cultural and sports exchanges, and other events organized regularly to improve the cultural and spiritual lives of young workers.

During the past term, Bac Ninh province provided career guidance to nearly 200,000 members, young people, and demobilized soldiers; and introduced jobs to more than 26,200 young people, of whom over 14,200 found employment.

The work of expanding solidarity and gathering young people has been emphasized and implemented comprehensively. The Youth Union branches at all levels in Bac Ninh province have implemented many specific solutions to attract young people from all walks of life to participate in the Union and its activities. The Union branches have recruited nearly 80,000 new members and recommended over 76,800 outstanding young people for admission to the Youth Union.

In the coming term, the Bac Ninh Provincial Youth Union strives for 100% of its branches to have at least two activities supporting young people in preserving and promoting local cultural identity. Member organizations of the Union are expected to participate in at least two volunteer activities organized by the Youth Union and Youth Association at the same level during the year; and provide career counseling and guidance to 10,000 members and young people.
