Graphic designer Asher Dippre has just shared rendered images of the iPhone 17 Pro, a smartphone expected to launch later this year. These are some of the clearest images of the iPhone 17 Pro if all the details are accurate.
The image is based on numerous rumors suggesting that the camera cluster on the iPhone 17 Pro is rectangular, located at the top of the back panel, similar to the Google Pixel.
The camera module is significantly larger than in some previous renderings. The lenses are still arranged in a triangular shape, while the LED flash, microphone, and LiDAR sensor have moved to the right, arranged vertically.
For comparison, recent iPhone Pro models all have a square camera module in the upper left corner. The LED flash, microphone, and LiDAR sensor are located along the telephoto lens.
Dipple's renders also show for the first time two different colors of the iPhone 17 Pro: silver and black.
Previously, leaker Jon Prosser stated that the back of the iPhone 17 Pro has a two-tone design, with the camera module being darker than the rest. He also shared some design images by Dippre.
Aside from the rear camera, the remaining details on the iPhone 17 Pro are almost unchanged compared to its predecessor, except for the smaller Dynamic Island notch.
According to MacRumors , there are still many questions surrounding the accuracy of the images. For example, the flash and LiDAR sensor are often placed close to the lens to increase accuracy. It is unclear whether the new camera module design is related to functionality or simply a visual refresh.

On social media platform X , Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman suggested that Prosser's render was based on an inaccurate drawing by rumor expert Majin Bu. However, the rectangular camera module design has been mentioned in numerous rumors, including those from self-proclaimed Chinese sources connected to Apple's supply chain.
It's worth noting that Majin Bu and Jon Prosser have previously made several inaccurate predictions, such as the flat-edged Apple Watch Series 7 or the iPhone 14 design not resembling the final version.
Currently, it's unclear whether the iPhone 17 Pro Max will have a different camera setup. This is highly likely, as Apple tends to maintain a similar design across the iPhone Pro line.
The new design may also be applied by Apple to the ultra-thin model (tentatively called iPhone 17 Air). Based on the renders, the camera module is lower because it only contains a single lens on the left, while the microphone and LED flash are on the right.
Other rumored specifications for the iPhone 17 Air include a 6.6-inch screen, 8GB of RAM with Apple Intelligence support, and an Apple-developed 5G modem.
