Teachers from Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School (Ba Dinh district, Hanoi) along with militia forces from Vinh Phuc ward mobilized to clean up and mitigate the damage caused by Typhoon No. 3.

The official document states that the Ministry of Education and Training has issued Official Letter No. 2179/BGDĐT-KHTC dated May 13, 2024 and Official Letter No. 4916/BGDĐT dated August 30, 2024 to the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-administered cities regarding the implementation of revenue collection in the field of education and training for the 2024-2025 school year.

In recent times, in addition to government- mandated policies on tuition fee exemptions and reductions, learning cost support, and tuition fee assistance, many provinces and cities have issued resolutions on tuition fee support policies for preschool and primary and secondary school students in their areas.

The Ministry of Education and Training highly appreciates the attention and care given by provinces and cities to education and their sharing of difficulties with parents and students.

Typhoon No. 3 (Yagi) and the subsequent floods have severely affected many provinces and cities.

The Ministry of Education and Training requests that the People's Committees of provinces and cities continue to consider and decide on tuition fee support or tuition fee waivers for preschool children and primary and secondary school students based on the extent of damage suffered by the people, within their authority and according to current legal regulations, in order to share and support parents and students, especially those in areas affected by storms, floods, and natural disasters.

Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training also issued a document requesting higher education institutions and teacher training colleges to implement support measures for students affected by Typhoon No. 3.

To continue supporting students affected by storms and floods to quickly stabilize their studies, the Ministry of Education and Training requests that schools prioritize allocating resources to waive or reduce tuition fees and provide appropriate financial support schemes tailored to each student's circumstances.

At the same time, guide students to contact local authorities to request confirmation of their family's sudden financial difficulties in order to apply for credit loans to support their studies.
