The community digital technology team in Nguyen Thai Binh neighborhood was established with 5 members, with the Party branch secretary and neighborhood leader serving as the team leader. Following the principle of learning through experience, the members actively participated in training courses organized by the Department of Information and Communications of Kien Giang province and Rach Gia city. Based on this, the members acquired digital knowledge and skills, actively promoted awareness of digital transformation, and popularized digital skills among the people; they also guided and supported residents in installing and using digital applications and services.

The community digital technology team in Nguyen Thai Binh neighborhood has set a goal for each family to have at least one person proficient in using technology applications on smartphones, and then to guide other family members in using them.

The Nguyen Thai Binh neighborhood has 21 self-governing residential groups with 1,015 households. To enhance the effectiveness of disseminating information and guiding residents in implementing digital transformation, in addition to promoting the role of the neighborhood's community digital technology group, the neighborhood leadership clearly communicates the goals and significance of digital transformation to officials, Party members, and each self-governing residential group; assigning each official and Party member to be responsible for disseminating information, guiding, and supporting 7 households in mastering the skills of using digital platforms and participating in the application of digital technology in daily life to promote digital transformation from the grassroots level and foster the formation of digital citizens.

According to Comrade Tran Thanh Liem, Party Secretary and Head of Nguyen Thai Binh neighborhood, taking advantage of the holiday, the neighborhood's community digital technology team guides residents on using online public services when they need to handle administrative procedures; installing, activating, and using some meaningful applications such as the electronic identity verification application (VNeID), digital social insurance (VssID), and cashless payment software. In the case of elderly residents, neighborhood officials record the application login passwords on paper for residents to keep and remember. From January 2023 to the present, Nguyen Thai Binh neighborhood has guided approximately 300 residents in installing the electronic identity verification and digital social insurance applications.

To date, the Nguyen Thai Binh neighborhood's community digital technology team has become a bridge connecting the local government with the people in disseminating information and promoting the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws on digital transformation; working together with the local government to build a digital government, develop the digital economy, and a digital society. Thanks to its active implementation of tasks, the Nguyen Thai Binh neighborhood's community digital technology team has received the approval, support, and high praise of the residents in the neighborhood.

The guidance and support provided to residents in Nguyen Thai Binh neighborhood to implement digital transformation has spread, with people being guided to install and use digital applications proficiently and actively guiding their relatives to do the same.

Mr. Nguyen Van Trong, residing in Nguyen Thai Binh neighborhood, shared: “Thanks to the community digital technology team members in the neighborhood who disseminated information about digital transformation and provided thorough guidance on how to use digital technology software, I understand more about the benefits of digital transformation and have increased my sense of responsibility in participating in the digital transformation process.”
