The Nguyen Thai Binh community digital technology team was established with 5 members, the party cell secretary and the neighborhood chief as team leaders. With the motto of learning while doing, the members actively participated in training courses organized by the Department of Information and Communications of Kien Giang province and Rach Gia city. On that basis, the members grasped digital knowledge and skills, actively promoted and raised awareness of digital transformation, popularized digital skills to the people; guided and supported people to install and use digital applications and services.
The Nguyen Thai Binh community digital technology team sets a goal that each family has at least one person who knows how to proficiently use technology applications on smartphones, and then guides family members to do so.
Nguyen Thai Binh residential area has 21 self-managed residential groups with 1,015 households. To improve the effectiveness of propaganda work and guide people to implement digital transformation, in addition to promoting the role of the residential community digital technology group, the residential area leadership clearly disseminates the goals and significance of digital transformation to cadres, party members, and each self-managed residential group; assigns each cadre and party member to be in charge of propaganda, guidance, and support for 7 households to master the skills of using digital platforms, participate in applying digital technology in life to promote digital transformation from the grassroots level, forming digital citizens.
According to comrade Tran Thanh Liem - Party Cell Secretary, Head of Nguyen Thai Binh Ward, taking advantage of the day off, the community digital technology team of the ward guided people to use online public services when they need to resolve administrative procedures; install, activate, and use a number of meaningful applications such as the electronic identification application (VNeID), digital social insurance (VssID), and cashless payment software. In the case of elderly people, ward officials recorded the application login password on paper for people to save and remember. From January 2023 to present, Nguyen Thai Binh Ward has guided about 300 people to install the electronic identification application and digital social insurance.
Up to now, the Nguyen Thai Binh community digital technology team has become a bridge for the local government in informing and propagating the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws on digital transformation to the people; joining hands with the government and locality to build digital government, develop digital economy and digital society. Thanks to its active implementation of tasks, the Nguyen Thai Binh community digital technology team has received the approval, support and high appreciation of the people in the neighborhood.
The work of guiding and supporting people to carry out digital transformation in Nguyen Thai Binh neighborhood has spread widely. People are guided to install and proficiently use digital applications and actively guide relatives to do so.
