Opening of the Vovinam Championship for all ages in Kien Giang province

(KGO) - The 2025 Kien Giang Province Vovinam Championship for all ages attracted nearly 200 athletes from 11 districts and cities in the province to compete.

On the evening of June 25, at the multi-purpose gymnasium of Kien Giang province, the Department of Culture and Sports of Kien Giang province coordinated with the Kien Giang Vovinam Federation to open the 2025 Kien Giang province Vovinam championship for all ages.

The tournament attracted nearly 200 athletes from 11 districts and cities in the province to participate; competing in many different age groups for men and women, in martial arts and combat events.

Deputy Director of Kien Giang Department of Culture and Sports Tran Nguyen Ba said the tournament aims to create a useful playground during the summer for students and athletes who love Vovinam martial arts.

At the same time, there is an opportunity to exchange, compete, improve professional qualifications and promptly discover potential athletes, select and train additional talented and young Vovinam athletes of the province in the coming time.
