Hue City has just experienced a historic flood with damage of more than 3,270 billion VND in many areas. Hundreds of hectares of agricultural land were flooded and damaged, including more than 600 hectares of corn and vegetables, 255 hectares of fruit trees and 124,000 flower pots and ornamental plants. Aquaculture suffered heavy damage with more than 8,300 fish cages flooded, nearly 58 tons of commercial fish and 60,000 fish fry lost.

In addition, more than 70 hectares of rice fields were eroded and filled; nearly 280 hectares of forest were collapsed, seriously affecting the environment and landscape. The infrastructure of transportation, irrigation, electricity and water, dykes and coastlines were also severely damaged. These damages directly impacted people's lives and caused long-term impacts on the economy , production and livelihoods of the City.
Mr. Le Manh Hung - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam shared that Hue City is one of the localities in the Central region that suffered heavy damage due to the floods at the end of October. Witnessing the losses and difficulties of the locality, Petrovietnam provided support to help the City overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

Previously, Petrovietnam also donated 5 billion VND to Da Nang City, 3 billion VND to Quang Ngai Province, 3 billion VND to Quang Tri Province; along with rice and clean water to help these localities overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
