Women in the digital age

In the strong flow of digital transformation and international integration, women's unions at all levels in the province always focus on innovating content and methods of operation, affirming the core role in gathering, uniting and promoting women's potential.

Member-centric

Sticking to the motto "Where there are women, there are Union activities", the Women's Union at all levels in Thai Nguyen province has shifted its focus from "administrative" to "member-centered". Forms of gathering have been diversified, suitable for each region, age group, and occupational group, helping all women to be heard and participate in contributing.

Activities at the branches and women's groups are increasingly practical, focusing on familiar contents: economic development, good child rearing, building happy families, digital transformation in daily life. Many new models have been deployed, creating attraction such as: Women's Entrepreneurship Club, "Women with Green Environment", and career interest groups. The pilot of gathering women on cyberspace has opened up a new direction in the context of digital transformation, attracting a large number of women to participate in activities, expanding the scope of influence and increasing the spread of the Association.

Thanks to innovation in working methods, in the period of 2021-2025, the Provincial Women's Union has admitted more than 58,000 new members, bringing the total number of members in the province to over 379,000 people, reaching a rate of attracting nearly 70% of women aged 18 and over. The Union also pays special attention to improving the quality of its staff, considering this a decisive factor in operational efficiency.

Implementing Project 1893 on training Association officials, the whole province has organized 3,210 training courses with nearly 16,537 officials participating, equipping them with leadership skills, communication, movement organization and information technology application. Up to now, 100% of specialized officials at provincial and grassroots levels have met the title standards, over 74.7% of branch presidents have been trained.

Elevate your team - Expand your cooperation

Along with strengthening internal resources, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Women's Union proactively expanded foreign relations and cooperated with many international organizations. During the 2021-2025 term, the Union coordinated the implementation of 12 projects with a total budget of over 37 billion VND, focusing on the fields of capacity building, livelihoods, gender equality and health care for women and children.

Female lecturers at Thai Nguyen University always innovate teaching methods to improve the effectiveness of equipping students with knowledge and skills.

In particular, within the framework of Project 8 - "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent problems for women and children in ethnic minority areas", the Association has organized hundreds of communication sessions, thematic activities, built livelihood models, and ethnic-religious women's clubs. Thereby raising awareness and life skills, helping women in difficult areas confidently develop their economy and build happy families.

Ms. Ha Thi Dao, President of the Provincial Women's Union, affirmed: Our goal is not only to strengthen the organization of the Union but also to build a team of cadres and members with courage, knowledge, skills, and readiness to adapt to digital transformation and international integration. Each Union cadre must be a nucleus to inspire women to rise up, be confident, independent, and contribute to the development of the homeland.

Entering a new phase, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Women's Union continues to promote digital transformation in its activities, applying information technology in management, operation, propaganda and support for members. Emulation movements are linked to the goals of sustainable development, creative startups, building happy families, gender equality and environmental protection.

By 2030, the Association aims to build a modern, digital, and deeply integrated organization, so that each cadre and member can become a dynamic digital citizen, confident in reaching out to the region and the world. Along with that, the Association will continue to develop models of creative female startups, women in the digital economy, and strengthen connections and cooperation in the ASEAN region.
