On the morning of November 14, Ha Long International Passenger Port welcomed the Blue Dream Melody ship (China) arriving at the port at 6:30 a.m., carrying 1,115 passengers and crew members from Beihai city, Guangxi (China).

This is the opening voyage of the 2025-2026 international cruise season, and at the same time shows the clear growth of the Chinese tourist market at the end of the year. Tourists are organized to visit Ha Long Bay, city tour and some prominent cultural and historical sites before the ship leaves the dock for the day.
The Bac Hai - Ha Long cruise route has been restored with 9 trips in the 2025 - 2026 season, expected to bring a stable and regular source of passengers. The return of this connecting route also resonates with the Shenzhen - Van Don charter flight route which has just been restored since the beginning of November, with a frequency of 6 flights/month, bringing tourism to Quang Ninh province to flourish.

Both sea and air passenger flows increased again at the same time as Quang Ninh launched the year-end tourism stimulus program "Quang Ninh - Experience heritage, connect the world ", aiming to welcome 20 million visitors in 2025, including 4.5 million international visitors.
By the end of October 2025, Ha Long International Passenger Port had welcomed 44 cruise ships with more than 56,600 passengers, an increase of 9% over the same period last year. Tourists mainly came from Europe, the US and China, reflecting the strong recovery of the luxury cruise segment. With synchronous infrastructure, the ability to receive ships up to 225,000 GT and receive 2 ships with nearly 10,000 people at the same time, the port is becoming a familiar stop for many major shipping lines.

Mr. Pham Van Hiep, Director of Ha Long International Passenger Port, said: "Blue Dream Melody opens the new cruise season and is a positive signal for the Chinese tourist market. We will continue to coordinate with shipping lines and travel agencies to expand cruise routes, improve service quality and ensure a safe and convenient experience for tourists."
Previously, at 10:00 a.m. on November 13, the super yacht Celebrity Solstice (Malta) also docked at Ha Long International Passenger Port, carrying 2,756 European and American passengers on a long-distance voyage from Singapore to Thailand to Vietnam to Hong Kong. During their nearly 36-hour stay, the passengers visited Hanoi, Hai Phong, took a city tour of Ha Long and experienced Ha Long Bay before the ship left the port on the evening of November 14.
The consecutive reception of large-scale international cruise ships for two consecutive days demonstrates the sustainable attraction of Ha Long to the global sea tourism market. This is also an important foundation for Quang Ninh to complete the international tourist growth target in 2025, especially in the context of the continued increase in demand for cruise tourism in the Asia-Pacific region.
