On the afternoon of November 17, the Lao Dong Newspaper held an award ceremony for two writing contests: Beloved Teacher and Kindness Around Us. The two writing contests had two different themes but had in common the spreading of beautiful values ​​in life, arousing the spirit of sharing, and inspiring the community.

This is the fourth time that Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper has organized the Beloved Teacher contest, and attracted more than 200 entries. The organizing committee has selected 25 entries to be published on the newspaper's publications and these are also the entries selected for the final round.

Each story sent from all over the country has created a true, clear, and profound picture of the teaching profession and the tradition of "respecting teachers". Through each page, it shows the appreciation for teachers, those who have been and are making efforts to contribute to the country's education sector, for a bright future for future generations.

Many works have portrayed very special teachers. Many have voluntarily stayed at schools in remote areas for decades, silently dedicating their youth, tirelessly spreading knowledge and faith to generations of students.

This year is the third time the newspaper has organized the writing contest "Kindness Around Us", attracting over 400 articles from authors across the country, reflecting the diverse rhythms of life.

In this contest, the authors have vividly and realistically portrayed examples of kindness and goodness. They are veterans, border guards, police officers, scientists, doctors, teachers, business owners; simple farmers, energetic village chiefs or ordinary citizens who always have a sense of responsibility to the community...

The kindness around us is also an example of overcoming difficulties to get rich, joining hands to develop the locality and helping those around us to rise up. They are also people who quietly donate blood and organs; are the "beautiful women" who silently rescue people in traffic accidents regardless of day or night; are people who, despite being blind or deaf, still steadfastly overcome their fate, and then spread and inspire unbelievable willpower...

At the ceremony, the Lao Dong Newspaper awarded prizes to 14 best works and authors. The total value of the two contests' prizes was over 200 million VND. In which, the first prize of each contest was worth 30 million VND.

In addition, the organizers also honored the characters who came out of the written pages with live and online exchanges, full of emotions.

Also at the award ceremony this afternoon, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper continued to launch the 4th writing contest "Kindness around us" and the 5th "Beloved teacher" for the 2025-2026 school year so that domestic and foreign authors can continue to write true and beautiful stories in life.
