Regarding the national highway (QL), the landslide on QL40B section through Nam Tra My commune, after opening a section to traffic on the evening of November 16, occurred again at noon today, causing traffic congestion. QL14E was blocked in the section through Phuoc Hiep commune.

Floodwaters were more than 1 meter deep across Khe Rinh Bridge on National Highway 14H, cutting off traffic to Que Phuoc Commune. National Highway 14D suffered landslides at 5 locations, causing traffic jams at 3 locations.

Regarding the provincial road system, many routes are being cut off due to floods or landslides on both positive and negative slopes. For example, in Dai Loc commune, people and vehicles cannot travel on routes DT609, DT609B, DT609C because the floodwaters of Vu Gia and Thu Bon rivers have caused deep inundation in many locations. Also on route DT609, the flood of Vu Gia river is cutting off the section from Ha Nha commune to Thuong Duc commune.

Connecting from Ho Chi Minh road (in A Vuong commune) to Tay Giang sub-border gate (in Hung Son commune), landslides on both the positive and negative slopes of DT606 route recurred due to heavy rain, water creating strong currents that swept away rocks, soil, trees to the road surface or into deep abysses. According to statistics, there were 6 locations along the route with traffic jams.

At km25+600 (Tay Giang commune) of DT606, heavy rain and floods caused serious landslides on the negative slope. The remaining roadbed is only suitable for motorbikes. Phuoc Manh Construction and Trading Company Limited has mobilized a high-capacity excavator to dig into the positive slope (with rocks), and cars can pass by this afternoon.

The Department of Construction said that heavy rains are still continuing, many key roads to the mountainous areas continue to have landslides and new ones are emerging. Many bridges and roads damaged by previous storms have not been repaired, so the work of repairing the damage and ensuring traffic is facing many difficulties and complications.

The city's functional sector is directing relevant departments, centers, and road management units to continue implementing the directives of the Ministry of Construction and the City People's Committee on repairing traffic routes that have been eroded and filled. Timely repair damage, handle congestion, and ensure traffic according to the "4 on-site" motto.
