According to the plan of the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the period 2021 - 2030 (National Target Program 1719), in the period 2021 - 2025 alone, Nghe An province will invest in the construction of 548 essential infrastructure works. The works include: Traffic, electricity, schools, medical stations, cultural institutions, centralized water supply, irrigation, radio stations, and rural markets.

Up to now, the whole province has had 418 completed infrastructure works, including: 158 traffic works, 2 electricity works, 72 educational works, 19 medical stations, 102 cultural institutions, 21 centralized water works, 27 irrigation works, 7 radio stations, 10 rural markets.
Thanks to that, essential infrastructure is being invested and upgraded throughout the villages of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas of Nghe An . The appearance of rural mountainous areas has improved, and people are better enjoying the benefits brought by the projects. Projects in the field of investment and construction of essential infrastructure of the National Target Program 1719 have brought about positive results.
Notably, the project to open a road from the center of Mon Son commune to the villages of Dan Lai people was implemented from the capital of the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021-2025.
Up to now, the roads in Bung and Co Phat villages have been invested and upgraded. In addition, 3 suspension bridges connecting these two villages have also been newly built, ending the situation of being isolated when there are prolonged floods. All of this has created a new face for people's lives, contributing to the goal of hunger eradication and poverty reduction.

In Tien Dong commune, many items such as traffic roads and centralized water supply systems have also been invested and built according to the National Target Program 1719. Traffic routes connecting hamlets to the commune center and to neighboring communes have been completed, contributing to the exchange of trade, travel and study of the people. In particular, the centralized water supply project has "quenched" the thirst of the people to the maximum during the dry season, reducing many difficulties in life.
Thanks to the effectiveness of the National Target Program 1719, the picture of mountainous rural areas in ethnic minority areas has changed and improved. This is an important condition to contribute to improving material and spiritual life, gradually realizing the goal of hunger eradication and poverty reduction. Currently, the poverty rate in ethnic minority areas has decreased by more than 3% each year and is only over 17%; average income per capita reaches 38.4 million VND/year.
