Phan Tran Ngoc Tran (born in 2014), a 6th grade student at Doan Thi Nghiep Secondary School, Binh Phu Commune, Dong Thap Province, is one of the characters that brought tears to many people. Ngoc Tran's mother passed away in 2016 due to breast cancer. She is living with her grandmother, Nguyen Thi Det, born in 1953. Due to her advanced age and poor health, Mrs. Det is no longer able to work as before; she has aching bones and joints, difficulty walking, and kidney stones. Every month, she has to go to the medical center to get painkillers.
Ngoc Tran’s father, Phan Minh Trung, is currently working in Ho Chi Minh City. Despite his poor health, he still tries to work to send money back home to raise his children. Tran has an older brother, Phan Tran Minh Tuan (born in 2005), a second-year student at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports . Minh Tuan lives with his father, studying and working part-time to reduce the burden on the family.

Despite her difficult circumstances, Ngoc Tran always strives to study and has been an excellent student for many years. She is the pride and motivation for her father to work with peace of mind and for her grandmother to overcome her illness. Every day, Tran cycles 20 minutes to school, often eating at home to save money. Thanks to the support of the local community, teachers and neighbors, each month the grandmother and grandchild receive relief rice and occasionally some fish and meat; when there is no food, they pick vegetables around the house to eat for a meal.
Although still young, Ngoc Tran dreams of going to university like her brother and becoming a doctor to treat her grandmother, father and people in difficult circumstances. What she hopes for most is a healthy and loving family; for her, hardship is okay, as long as she has family by her side, that is enough.
The image of Minh Tuan and Ngoc Tran crying at the Vietnamese Family Home program made many people feel sorry. Standing next to the characters, singer Trang Phap could not hold back her tears at Ngoc Tran's pain and loneliness. She continuously encouraged her to be strong to overcome difficulties and pursue her dream.

MC Huynh Lap expressed his admiration for the determination of the two brothers, especially Minh Tuan's will. Despite the difficulties, Tuan still tried to study at university, trying to find a scholarship to continue going to school. He shared his deep sympathy: "I also have an older brother. Although I am now an artist, in the past, my brother had to work very hard and struggle a lot. My brother's life was not as fortunate as mine. So I sympathize with Tuan when he is facing difficulties but still considers himself the pillar of the family."
Singer Lam Hung praised Ngoc Tran's academic achievements. He said that Minh Tuan's strength in defying adversity, still persevering in both studying and working, and nurturing the will to change his life is a bravery that few people have. The male guest compared the two brothers Minh Tuan and Ngoc Tran to "young trees growing on rocks, still rising and developing through many storms". Along with words of encouragement, Lam Hung and Trang Phap tried their best in the challenges to bring rewards to the children.

At the end of the competition, Truong Ho Kim Han's family came in third place, receiving a prize of 18 million VND. Do Huynh Thuy Dao came in second place, receiving 23 million VND. Phan Tran Ngoc Tran's family won first place, overcoming a special challenge and bringing home a total prize of 60 million VND. Thus, the total prize money given by Hoa Sen Group to families this week was 101 million VND.
In particular, at the drawing of the board, MC Huynh Lap, singer Lam Hung and singer Trang Phap decided to join hands to buy an additional logo board to give to three families. The special board worth 15 million VND was sent to the characters, creating an emotional moment when the artists' unexpected decision was announced.

In addition, singer Lam Hung and his friends used their own money to give each family 10 million VND. The singer's children also spent 10 million VND from their savings, asking him to give it to the disadvantaged children at the program.
In addition, fans of singer Trang Phap, who followed the singer to the Vietnamese Family Home, proactively contributed 27 million VND. Trang Phap decided to contribute more to make it a total of 60 million VND and divide it equally among the families.
The two guests also organized a sale of Ao Ba Ba, supported the purchase of lottery tickets for the character’s family and went to the audience area to collect donations. The total prize money from the program and the support from artists, donors and local people sent to the children this week is estimated to be nearly 330 million VND.

The program Vietnamese Family Home is broadcast at 7:30 p.m. every Friday on HTV7 channel. The program is produced by Bee Media Company in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Station , with the support of Hoa Sen Home Construction Materials & Interior Supermarket System (Hoa Sen Group) and Hoa Sen Plastic Pipe - Source of Happiness.
