Viet Anh Do defeated Japanese boxer.
The MMA (mixed martial arts) bout between Viet Anh Do and Ryo Hirayama was the opening match of ONE Friday Fights 133, which took place on the evening of November 14 in Bangkok, Thailand. The New Zealander of Vietnamese origin won after nearly 3 minutes of the first round with a series of punches that knocked out his opponent.
Viet Anh Do was more effective than his opponent. The boxer born in 1997 - registered to compete under the flags of Vietnam and New Zealand - showed alertness and agility in defense and struck very quickly. After half of the first round, Viet Anh Do knocked down Ryo Hirayama with a left hand.
The Vietnamese MMA fighter threw 12 punches and kicks in a "ground and pound" stance. However, Ryo Hirayama showed his ability to withstand blows when he escaped from Viet Anh Do's control and stood up to continue fighting. The referee did not need to stop the match after Viet Anh Do's series of punches.

Viet Anh Do has only lost 1 fight in his MMA career.
Ryo Hirayama took the initiative to counterattack to regain the score after falling into a disadvantage. However, the continuous strong blows before made the Japanese boxer lose his fighting power. He was slower and exposed many openings while Viet Anh Do maintained his composure and precision in every move.
In a flash, the Vietnamese boxer delivered two consecutive punches to Ryo Hirayama’s stomach and face. The Japanese boxer paused for a moment and then fell to the floor after feeling the impact. The second punch from Viet Anh Do caused Ryo Hirayama to bleed from the nose. This time, the referee decided to intervene and determined that Viet Anh Do won by technical knockout (TKO).
This is the 28-year-old's third win in the ONE ring. Viet Anh Do mainly trains and competes in New Zealand. According to his profile on Tapology, this boxer has only lost 1 professional MMA match (against Nikora Lee Kingi).
Before that, Viet Anh Do had a streak of 8 consecutive wins. He knocked out his opponents (technically) 7 times and only won 1 match by points.
