This year, Online Friday has the theme “Safety – Peace of mind – Happiness”, aiming to build a transparent e-commerce environment, enhance consumer confidence and protect rights against counterfeit and fake goods. At the same time, the program connects businesses, promotes Vietnamese products from regional specialties to high technology, contributing to promoting domestic consumption and the spirit of “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods”.
Online Friday 2025 also focuses on enhancing the e-commerce and digital technology experience. People and tourists can participate in online shopping programs, new technology experience spaces, and display and livestream areas of e-commerce platforms. This is an opportunity to explore modern solutions and utilities, making shopping safer and more enjoyable.
Online Friday Vietnam 2025 will last until November 17.
Black Friday 2025: Early Deals Have Already Started
The holiday shopping season is already in full swing, with major retailers like Amazon, Walmart, and Target launching early Black Friday 2025 deals. Shoppers don’t have to wait until after Thanksgiving to get their hands on deals, as many tech products, home appliances, and gifts are already on sale since mid-November.
Amazon is scheduled to officially kick off its Black Friday event on November 20 and run through Cyber Monday (December 1). Walmart will hold a series of discount events from mid-November, peaking between November 25 and 30. Meanwhile, Target will open online sales on November 27 and launch in-store promotions on November 28.

Some of the notable products that have had early discounts include the Apple AirPods 4, the new MacBook, the Dyson V9 vacuum cleaner for around $270, and many sought-after LEGO sets.
Experts recommend that shoppers make a list of essential products, check price history to ensure they are getting real deals, and set reminders for official days. Because good deals often disappear quickly when demand increases.
Apple Watch faces the risk of being banned from import in the US again
On November 14, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) announced that it would open a new investigation to consider whether Apple Watch models redesigned to avoid the previous ban continue to infringe Masimo's patent on blood oxygen measurement technology.
Apple called the lawsuit a “baseless attempt” to block the blood oxygen measurement feature on its smartwatch. The company also accused Masimo of copying the Apple Watch design to make the complaint.

Masimo, a California-based medical technology company, has repeatedly accused Apple of recruiting its employees to steal its SpO₂ measuring patents. The ITC previously banned the import of the Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 in 2023 for violating Masimo’s patents.
The ITC aims to complete its investigation within six months. The outcome could have a major impact on Apple's ability to continue selling new smartwatch models in the US market.
