Hanoi: Rescued 1 person trapped in high-rise building fire

At around 9:00 p.m. on November 15, a fire broke out in a high-rise building in lane 80, Trung Kinh street (Yen Hoa ward, Hanoi), trapping one person.

Immediately upon receiving the news, the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center mobilized the Fire Fighting and Rescue Teams of Area 2 and Area 11 (Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department - Hanoi City Police) to deploy 4 fire trucks and more than 20 officers and soldiers to the scene.

Upon arriving at the scene, the authorities determined that the fire had broken out on the 7th floor of the 7-story building and that there were people trapped inside. The fire commander immediately deployed forces carrying protective equipment and breathing apparatus to conduct reconnaissance and approach the upper floors for search and rescue; at the same time, deployed a firefighting team to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent floors and surrounding houses.

After about 30 minutes of firefighting and rescue efforts, at 9:30 p.m., the fire was completely extinguished.

The authorities promptly brought the female homeowner down the stairs to safety.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated and clarified by the authorities according to regulations.
