Le Tuan Minh won the second gold medal at the 2025 Asian Mind Sports Games

VHO - On the afternoon of November 15, the sole representative of Vietnamese chess - Le Tuan Minh excellently won the gold medal in the blitz chess event at the 2025 Asian Mind Sports Games, taking place in Singapore.

This is also the second gold medal for the 29-year-old player at the 2025 Asian Mind Sports Games.

Tuan Minh won 2 gold medals in 2 events.

In the blitz chess event, Tuan Minh (Elo 2,582) was seeded number 2, he won 10 games and drew 1 game.

The Vietnamese player won the first four games in a row, then tied with Chenxi Zhao (China, Elo 2,308) in game 5.

Tuan Minh continued to play brilliantly when he won the remaining 6 games, in which he defeated the number 1 seed from Indonesia - Megaranto Susanto in game 7.

After 11 games, Tuan Minh had an undefeated record with 10.5 points, winning the gold medal, far surpassing the two players behind him, Chenxi Zhao who won the silver medal and Tin Jingyao (Singapore) who won the bronze medal with 1.5 points.

Previously in the rapid chess event, Tuan Minh (Elo 2,499) was seeded number 3, he had 7 wins and 2 draws, scored 8 points, and won the gold medal.

Thus, Tuan Minh helped Vietnamese chess win 2 gold medals in rapid chess and blitz chess. This is a very impressive achievement of the Hanoi chess player.

Tuan Minh is very strong in rapid and blitz chess. This player also won the national championship in 2020, then won 2 gold medals (1 individual, 1 team) at the 31st SEA Games in 2022. Last year, he made a strong impression with an individual bronze medal at the Chess Olympiad.
