Towards the celebration of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day on November 23, from November 21 to 23, Da Nang Museum will organize "Da Nang Cultural Heritage Festival 2025" with the theme "Diverse cultural colors of Da Nang's highlands".

This year, for the first time, the event was held simultaneously at three Museum facilities, bringing a series of rich and unique activities, attracting locals and tourists.

Highland cultural space converges in the heart of the city

According to the Da Nang Museum, this year's program continues to affirm the goal of preserving and spreading traditional cultural values, especially the culture of ethnic minority communities such as Co Tu, Xo Dang, Gie Trieng, Cor, Bhnong... living in Da Nang.

The activities are held at 3 locations of Da Nang Museum: 31 Tran Phu and 42 Bach Dang (Hai Chau ward); 78 Le Duan (Hai Chau ward); 281 Phan Boi Chau (Ban Thach ward).

VHO - Not only a cultural experience event, "Co Tu-Gether: Walking together in the village" is also an invitation for young people in Da Nang to embark on a journey to preserve and retell the story of Co Tu culture in modern media language.

At 31 Tran Phu, the highlight is a series of large-scale exhibitions including: Photo exhibition "Colors of Da Nang Highlands Culture" with 50 photos recording the life, customs, beliefs and typical activities of the highland people;

The exhibition of traditional costumes with the theme "Sac Soi" introduces about 20 costumes of the Co Tu, Cor, Muong, Ca Dong, Bhnong ethnic groups - thereby helping the public discover the process of creating costumes with strong identities;

Exhibition of Co Tu wooden sculptures with the theme "Soul of Wood" with nearly 20 artifacts, recreating the rustic, simple and expressive beauty of folk sculpture art.

At the same time, a scientific seminar was held here, "Mac Canh Huong and the Mac family in Thuan Quang region (1604 - 1802)", to announce new research on local history and culture, contributing to traditional education and heritage preservation.

Rich heritage performance, experience and education activities

The space at 42 Bach Dang is organized as a miniature "cultural village", where visitors can directly immerse themselves in the artistic and culinary life of the highland people.

There will be activities such as: Folk song and dance performances such as Tung tung Da da dance, bamboo dance, Ca Dong gong dance...;

Co Tu - Ca Dong Kitchen space introduces traditional cuisine with typical mountain and forest flavors; Handicraft and agricultural product space with brocade, wickerwork, and agricultural products produced by the people themselves.

Visitors also have the opportunity to participate in handicraft activities: brocade weaving, knitting, wood carving, making croissants, making Phu Tuc wine, Ca Dong beading... In addition, the game show "Up the mountain, down the street" will create a playground for locals and tourists to exchange and learn about ethnic culture.

Facility 281 Phan Boi Chau organizes the Heritage Education program "Cultural Heritage of the Cor people", helping students visit, learn about cultural life and practice drawing and decorating the Neu tree, the Gu set - a national intangible cultural heritage.

Honoring heritage - spreading love of culture

Along with the series of experiential activities, the festival also held a ceremony to receive and display 31 donated artifacts in 2025 at the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum (78 Le Duan).

The artifacts were donated by many domestic and foreign artists and collectors, contributing to enriching the city's art resources. The reception ceremony will be held at 4:30 p.m. on November 21 and will be on display until November 26.

In particular, the experiential event for young people “Co Tu-Gether: Walking together in the village” will bring a new and modern approach through multi-platform communication, interactive activities, conversations with artisans and direct cultural experiences.

With its diverse content and cultural depth, “Da Nang Cultural Heritage Festival 2025” promises to become a highlight in the series of activities celebrating Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day, while contributing to spreading love and awareness of heritage preservation to the community, especially the youth.
