The highlight of the film lies in the profound sharing from relatives, colleagues and artists who understand the personality, talent and artistic ideals of musician Van Cao such as: Musician Doan Nho, musician Doan Bong, theorist Nguyen Thi Minh Chau - Vice President of the Vietnam Musicians Association, ... Through the stories of musician Van Cao's son and daughter, musicians, painters, writers and singers, viewers see stories about love, marriage, family companionship, friendship and collaboration in the art of musician Van Cao.
Through a simple but emotional narrative, the audience is led from his early compositions to works that touch the hearts of the public, and finally the image of the song "Tien Quan Ca" resounds as an affirmation of the spiritual heritage that Van Cao left behind, lasting forever.
Director Dang Linh shared that the journey to make the film was long, with many difficulties in collecting rare documents and restoring images. The companionship of the musician's family and the crew helped the work have a thorough, authentic view, fully conveying the spirit and depth of Van Cao's personality.

The female director emphasized: “Exploiting the image of musician Van Cao is one of the most difficult topics in my 20 years of working. Because of our admiration for musician Van Cao, we have devoted all our heart and soul to fully portray his image. Although we wanted to give up many times because of the difficulties, it was that respect that urged us to persevere until the end.”
Mr. Trinh Quang Tung, Deputy General Director of the Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio, said this is an opportunity for the studio to continue making films about people who have contributed to the country, while also recognizing the efforts, dedication and seriousness of director Dang Linh and the entire film crew.
After watching the film, musician Minh Dung expressed his emotion at the detailed and meticulous way the film was developed, and wished that the work would soon be widely disseminated so that the public across the country could better understand the life, music and personality of Van Cao.

For musician Doan Nho, the film about Van Cao is a work rich in emotions and meaning.
