15-year-old golfer Nguyen Trong Hoang won the Tien Phong Golf Championship for the first time.

Before this year's tournament, Trong Hoang had never played at Thien Duong Golf Course - Legend Valley Country Club. The golfer born in 2010 only had one test session on November 14, just one day before the official competition day.

At Dalat Palace Golf Club, in cold weather and challenging terrain, Trong Hoang surpassed experienced golfers such as reigning national champion Nguyen Tuan Anh and SEA Games 32 champion Le Khanh Hung to become the youngest champion in the history of the tournament.

This achievement also helps him become the first Vietnamese golfer to secure a place at the 33rd SEA Games.

Trong Hoang continued to maintain his impressive form at the National Golf Championship - Gia Lai 2025, where the 15-year-old golfer finished in the group of 4 strongest golfers of the tournament.

The golfer born in 2010 has increasingly improved his playing style with stable drives and more refined game control. In the most stressful moments, Trong Hoang has shown his competitive spirit far beyond his 15 years.

Trong Hoang shared that participating in the SEA Games is a great honor and pride and during the past time, he has focused fully and prepared carefully while practicing in parallel at EPGA Academy and Every Golf, perfecting both long game and short game, paying attention to every small detail in technique.
