On the afternoon of November 15, Viet Thang Steel defeated Nghiem Pham Holdings 4-1 in the final match of the Hyundai Thanh Cong Cup 2025 National 7-a-side Football Cup (VSC-S5) - Southern region.
The final match started with a cautious game from both teams. As the first half drew to a close, the deadlock was broken after a beautiful combination and a decisive shot from captain Van Duy, putting Thep Viet Thang ahead.

In the second half, Nghiem Pham Holdings tried hard to find an equalizer but was soon "doused with cold water". In just the first 10 minutes, Van Duy and Thanh Lich scored consecutively, raising the score to 3-0, creating a big advantage for Viet Thang Steel.
Although Minh Tu managed to score a goal to reduce the score to 1-3, Nghiem Pham Holdings' hopes were quickly extinguished when former Vietnam futsal player Dang Anh Tai scored the winning goal to make it 4-1.
This title marks the first time Viet Thang Steel has won at VSC and the team's first trophy in the VietFootball tournament system.

In the third-place match, An Bien defeated Phan Kha Construction 4-2 to win the bronze medal, and became the third team from the Southern region to qualify for the National Finals.
The VSC-S5 finals will take place from November 29 to December 7 at Gia Dinh Stadium (HCMC) with the participation of the 8 strongest teams from three regions.
