A fire unexpectedly broke out at a scrap metal warehouse in Su Nam hamlet (Hon Dat commune, An Giang province), creating a column of smoke dozens of meters high that engulfed the entire area. After more than 3 hours of firefighting efforts, the Fire and Rescue Police force, along with local militia, managed to control the fire, which covered an area of ​​approximately 300 square meters. The fire caused no casualties.

A scrap metal warehouse caught fire in Su Nam hamlet, Hon Dat commune, An Giang province.

On the morning of November 16th, authorities in Hon Dat commune (An Giang province) were investigating the cause of a fire at a local scrap metal warehouse.

At approximately 6:30 PM on November 15th, a fire broke out at the scrap metal warehouse owned by Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu (born in 1972, residing in Group 10, Su Nam Hamlet). The warehouse, approximately 300 square meters in size, contained numerous plastic bottles, nylon bags, and other flammable scrap materials. Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force, along with other relevant agencies, quickly implemented measures to control the fire.

By 9:40 PM the same day, the fire was completely extinguished, causing no casualties and affecting nearby residential areas. Property damage is currently being assessed. Local residents believe the fire may have originated from an electrical short circuit.
