The heart of the Grand Cross Knight Le Duc Thinh goes out to the flood-hit areas

Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, on the afternoon of November 13, Knight of the Great Cross Le Duc Thinh and his colleagues went to the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to donate 800 million VND to support people in provinces affected by storms and floods.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Knight of the Grand Cross Le Duc Thinh expressed his emotion at returning to the Fatherland Front - where he always felt "sincere love for the country and the people".

The Knight of the Grand Cross shared that for Catholics, serving God is also serving the nation, so everyone has a responsibility to their country and compatriots.

“That thought always makes me feel the need to do something for the poor, the disadvantaged, especially ethnic minorities who still have many difficulties,” said the Knight of the Grand Cross.

According to Knight Le Duc Thinh, his and his colleagues' volunteer journey over the years has been guided by a simple belief: "Wherever we go, we care for the poor. God needs us for these things."

According to him, supporting people affected by floods this time is not only an act of sharing but also a response to the call of humanity and the spirit of national solidarity.

On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front - Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025), Knight Le Duc Thinh sent his best wishes to all leaders, cadres, civil servants and public employees of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and expressed his respect for the great role and contributions of the Front in the revolutionary cause and the great national unity bloc.

“The call to support our compatriots in the flood-hit areas by the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is a sacred call, urging the conscience and compassion of every Vietnamese citizen. Because we are all brothers and sisters of the same family,” said Knight Le Duc Thinh.

Receiving the support, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Hoang Cong Thuy expressed his respect and gratitude for the generosity of Knight of the Grand Cross Le Duc Thinh and his colleagues.

Comrade Hoang Cong Thuy affirmed that this is a valuable resource, demonstrating the spirit of "mutual love" and "helping each other", contributing to helping people in provinces affected by storms and floods to quickly overcome the consequences and stabilize their lives.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, comrade Hoang Cong Thuy conveyed the thanks of comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central organizations, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to Knight Le Duc Thinh and his colleagues for their practical and persistent contributions in the past time.

According to comrade Hoang Cong Thuy, after storms No. 10, 11, 12, 13 and the prolonged floods, many localities in the North and Central regions are suffering heavy damage, people's lives are facing many difficulties. Therefore, the timely cooperation of organizations and individuals, including Knight Le Duc Thinh, is a great source of encouragement for people in disaster areas.

He also affirmed that the entire amount of donations will be allocated publicly, transparently, to the right recipients and for the right purposes by the Central Relief Committee and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, in order to quickly support people in overcoming the consequences of storms and floods.

At the end of the reception, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Hoang Cong Thuy sent his wishes of health, happiness and success to the Knight of the Great Cross Le Duc Thinh and his colleagues, and expressed his belief that the spirit of charity and sharing will continue to spread strongly in the community, accompanying the Vietnam Fatherland Front in social security programs in the coming time.
