Support ethnic minority women to build happy families
With the motto "Towards the grassroots, taking women as the center of service", the efforts of the Women's Union of Quang Ninh have been helping women in the highlands and border areas become more and more confident, proactive in economic development, taking care of their families, contributing to building equal, prosperous, progressive and happy families.

Implementing Resolution No. 06-NQ/TU dated July 15, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee "on sustainable socio -economic development associated with ensuring national defense and security in communes, villages, and hamlets in ethnic minority areas, mountainous, border, and island areas for the period of 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030", in the past 4 years, the Women's Union at all levels has implemented many activities to support women in economic development, improve knowledge of health care, child rearing, prevention of social evils, and domestic violence, contributing to strengthening the good values of Vietnamese families.
Along with the strong development of the province, the Women's Union at all levels of Quang Ninh has implemented many specific programs and projects, targeting highland and ethnic minority areas, helping women in remote areas to gradually rise up and build equal, prosperous, progressive and happy families.
Continuing the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's", from 2022, the movement "Building a family of 5 yes's, 3 clean's" has been deployed by the Provincial Women's Union in advanced and exemplary new rural communes with 14 models. The "5 yes's" families (having safe houses, sustainable livelihoods, health, knowledge and cultural lifestyle) are becoming bright spots spreading the spirit of building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and sustainable poverty reduction.
In parallel, the program "Accompanying women in the border areas" has been maintained effectively, creating a deep impression in 6 difficult border communes. Over the past 5 years, the total support resources have reached over 15 billion VND, along with thousands of working days of border guards and women's union members. Through the program, nearly 80 "Border Warm Homes" houses have been built and repaired, 25 economic models have been supported, more than 460 sanitary facilities and barns have been relocated far from the residence; at the same time, hundreds of gifts, 30 study corners have been given, and 152 students in the program "Helping you go to school" have been regularly supported. In addition, tens of thousands of energy-saving stoves, water filters, rechargeable lamps, and reproductive health care gifts have been given to poor women, contributing to improving their lives and enhancing the quality of the rural environment.

The Women's Union at all levels in Quang Ninh has implemented many practical activities to support ethnic minority women in building happy and progressive families. Through training courses, communication conferences, seminars, competitions, cultural exchanges, etc., women are equipped with knowledge on organizing family life, raising children according to their age, behavioral skills, preventing crime and social evils right from the family. Over the past 5 years, the Provincial Women's Union has organized 20 training courses, conferences, and seminars with the participation of more than 3,000 ethnic minority women; established 18 models of "Parenting groups for caring for, educating, and comprehensively developing children". More than 60 training courses and nearly 500 communication events on family life education, marriage, and parenting skills have been organized. In addition, the “Happy Family” clubs are maintained, becoming a spiritual support, helping women in mountainous and border areas connect, share experiences in caring for and educating children, and preserve traditional culture. Every year, the Women’s Union at all levels also organizes “Happy Family Festival”, meets, honors typical examples, contributing to spreading the good values of Vietnamese families in the ethnic minority women community.
The results achieved in the past time affirm the efforts, responsibility and enthusiasm of the Quang Ninh Women's Union at all levels in the journey of accompanying women in the highlands and border areas. From practical and effective models, the movement has been building happy, equal, prosperous and progressive homes, contributing to building Quang Ninh to be more and more prosperous and civilized.
