Ms. Dong (second from left) actively guides women in yoga exercises to maintain health.
Sharing the secret to keeping the "fire" of family happiness for over 20 years, Ms. Hoang Thi Dong, 48 years old, in Vi Thanh ward, confided: "If I want a happy family, I think I have to truly feel happy in my own home. Because when women know how to love themselves, they will know how to love and take care of their loved ones completely."
As a primary school teacher, Ms. Dong experienced a period of declining health after giving birth to her second child. Her body often ached and was tired, and at times she thought about quitting teaching because she did not have enough strength. “Thanks to my friends' encouragement, I started practicing yoga. After nearly two years of practice, my health improved significantly, my spirit was more comfortable, I decided to study properly and became a trainer from 2018 until now. Now, teaching yoga is not only a side job but also helps me live positively, maintaining a balance between work and family" - Ms. Dong shared.
Or like Ms. CTKL, a small trader in Cai Khe ward, although she doesn't have much free time, she still sets aside for herself about 2 hours every evening to go jogging, exercise, and have coffee with the women near her house. Ms. L said that in the past, she was busy making a living, worrying about food and money, so trips with her husband and children became a luxury. "I always thought that taking care of my husband and children was enough, but I ignored my own health and figure. When I was tired and fell ill, I felt regretful. Because if a woman doesn't love herself, she won't be able to take good care of anyone. In my opinion, modern women are not only good at making money and taking care of the family, but also need to keep the "fire" of love in the family" - Ms. L expressed.
After making changes in her activities and lifestyle, Ms. L is not only healthier but also more confident and optimistic. Now, in addition to exercising every night, she also maintains regular health check-ups, learns to cook, reads books and participates in volunteer activities to make life more meaningful.
Not only stopping at health care, for Ms. TTH, 40 years old, an office worker in Hoa Luu commune, "loving yourself" is also daring to live true to your values and dreams. There was a time when she lived a closed, self-conscious life, only knowing how to bury herself in work and take care of her family. When she realized that she had lost her joy, she decided to change. She studied photography, her passion for youth was once put aside. Photos of simple life, happy moments of women around her were shared by her on social networks, spreading a positive message of life. She confided: "When I do what I love, I feel younger, more optimistic and more confident. I believe that the happiest woman is the one who knows how to love and respect herself."
The stories of Ms. Dong, Ms. L and Ms. H are not only changes in lifestyle, but also reflect a new awareness of modern women - loving yourself does not mean being selfish but knowing how to appreciate and nurture your own value. When a woman is happy, she will become a source of positive energy spreading to her family and community. A mother who knows how to love herself will teach her children how to live confidently and know how to love others. A happy wife will build a peaceful and fulfilling home with her husband.
Loving yourself is the journey of keeping the flame of love alive, warming yourself and lighting up the happiness of those around you. It is the secret to help women not only become more beautiful and stronger, but also contribute to making life more gentle and meaningful.
