Can Tho City participates in the National Residential Area Mass Arts Festival

The competition program of Can Tho City Mass Art Troupe consists of 2 parts. In the competition part "Shining Journey - Connecting residential area culture", Can Tho chose to introduce the effective implementation of the Movement of All People Uniting to Build Cultural Life in Residential Areas in Long Thanh A Cultural Area, Thot Not Ward, in the form of dramatization combined with reportage presentation.

In the art performance section, Can Tho City participated with the theme “Can Tho Connects the Future” with 5 performances in the following categories: pin peat orchestra, duet, group singing, scene singing and dance. The content of the competition program praised the beauty and prosperity of Can Tho homeland and the beauty of Can Tho people who are generous, elegant and hospitable.

The program is directed by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phu, Director of Can Tho City Culture and Arts Center; script by Kim Vy; directed by Meritorious Artist Huynh Nhat Danh, and lasts about 30 minutes.

The National Residential Area Mass Arts Festival will open on the evening of November 15 and run until November 19, in Long Xuyen ward, An Giang province.

This year's festival has the participation of 12 mass art troupes from provinces and cities including: An Giang, Hanoi , Quang Ngai, Son La, Tay Ninh, Phu Tho, Da Nang, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Quang Ninh, Vinh Long and Can Tho.

The festival is chaired by the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), in coordination with relevant agencies and units. The festival aims to honor typical residential areas and groups and individuals who actively participate in the Movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", carry out campaigns, patriotic emulation movements and social security activities in residential communities; arouse cultural traditions, the spirit of national solidarity, and firmly build a rich, beautiful and civilized country.
