
Quang Phong 6 village has 201 households and 837 people, of which the Dao Thanh Y ethnic group accounts for 97% of the population. Before 2010, the village was in a particularly difficult situation: no electricity, roads, schools, or stations; the poverty rate was 35%; many backward customs still existed...
Identifying the important significance of the new rural construction program, helping to comprehensively change rural areas and improve people's lives, in his position as Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell and Head of the Front Work Committee, Mr. Thang advised the Party Committee and Party Cell to synchronously deploy many solutions, focusing on promoting the role of the people as the main subject to complete the program's goals.
To make people see, believe and actively participate in the program, he took the lead and voluntarily donated nearly 2,000 square meters . land for perennial crops in prime locations to build rural roads, build Khe Heo kindergarten and primary school; mobilize families and relatives to actively participate, thereby spreading widely to all people in the village. Up to now, people have donated over 15,000m2 Land and thousands of working days to expand and concrete 3 intra-village and inter-village roads 3m wide, total length of more than 5.2km, creating convenience for people to travel and transport agricultural products.
In 2025, implementing the Project to renovate and upgrade village roads 7, 8, 9 to the center of Quang Phong commune (old) to develop sustainable socio -economy associated with ensuring solid national defense and security in ethnic minority, mountainous, border and island areas in the period of 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030, the villages have 12 affected households, of which 8 households are affected in terms of residential land and construction works on the land.
To create consensus among the people in implementing land acquisition, Mr. Thang and the village's Party Committee, branches, and organizations actively grasped the grassroots, focusing on propagating to the people about the purpose and significance of the project for the development of the commune and province; the Party and State's guidelines, policies, and laws on compensation and support for land acquisition; and mobilizing the families of Party members and prestigious people to be exemplary in compliance so that the people can follow. Up to now, 100% of households have handed over the site to the project contractor even though they have not received compensation.

To help people develop production and increase income, Mr. Thang has mobilized people to convert the structure of high-yield crops and livestock into production, grow winter crops, participate in labor in industrial zones, develop a multi-sector economy of agriculture , small-scale industry and trade. Currently, the village has 48 hectares of agricultural crops, maintains a herd of 225 cattle, and a herd of 5,000 poultry. The village no longer has poor households according to the province's poverty standards, 80% of households have spacious, solid houses, many households have cars and excavators to transport agricultural and forestry products.
Mr. Thang also mobilized households to build cultural families and cultural residential areas. In 2025, the whole village had 196 households achieving the title of Cultural Family, maintaining a cultural village. People actively practiced a civilized cultural lifestyle in weddings and funerals; backward customs were pushed back; children of the right age went to school; "Learning Family" models were developed and replicated...
