The People's Procuracy of Region I discusses solutions to improve the quality of exercising the power of prosecution and supervising judicial activities.
To ensure that the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style are carried out seriously, effectively, and become a regular and continuous practice, the Party Cell of the People's Procuracy of Region I has determined that: To effectively implement the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, it is essential to closely combine theory and practice; and integrate propaganda and education with the effectiveness and quality of professional work.
Based on this, the Party branch always maintains unity and thoroughly and seriously implements the directives, resolutions, programs, and guidelines from higher-level Party committees regarding the study and emulation of President Ho Chi Minh's teachings to cadres, Party members, and staff within the unit. At the same time, closely following the guidance of higher-level Party committees, the Party branch has developed a plan for studying and emulating Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, linked to the innovation of leadership, direction, and management methods, and improving the quality and effectiveness of professional tasks. This includes focusing on mobilizing cadres, civil servants, and workers in the unit to effectively participate in patriotic emulation movements of the sector and locality.
The unit's leaders consistently uphold responsibility, proactively innovate their thinking and leadership methods in carrying out the agency's tasks; and specifically define and assign responsibility to individual and collective leaders in implementing work plans and programs. Furthermore, they maintain unity and cohesion; improve working methods, and strengthen discipline and order, primarily through the exemplary leadership of the head of the unit. Simultaneously, they focus on building a team of officials and employees who are knowledgeable in law, highly skilled in their profession, possess professional ethics, and have strong political convictions, meeting the requirements and tasks assigned. Each prosecutor, official, and employee is always "honest, dedicated, and responsible" in performing their duties; and effectively implements the motto "Unity, responsibility - discipline, integrity - courage, and efficiency."
In its professional work, the People's Procuracy of Region I fully and accurately carries out the exercise of prosecutorial powers and supervises judicial activities in accordance with the law. The exercise of prosecutorial powers and supervision of investigations is conducted from the moment a crime is reported until the investigation is concluded. Of these, 100% of crime reports and denunciations are resolved within the prescribed timeframe. The team of prosecutors closely monitors the investigation process for each assigned case, proactively reporting difficulties and obstacles to the leadership for immediate resolution; promptly and accurately proposing investigation requirements, ensuring that investigations are objective, comprehensive, complete, accurate, and in accordance with the law, preventing wrongful convictions and ensuring that no crimes go unpunished. The prosecution of defendants is always based on evidence; violations of the law during the investigation process are promptly detected, rectified, and dealt with strictly. resolutely refuse to approve or overturn unfounded and unlawful decisions of the investigating agency...
The prosecution of criminal cases is ensured to be timely, targeting the right person, the right crime, and in accordance with the law; for many years, there have been no cases of wrongful convictions or overlooked crimes; no cases where the prosecution was acquitted by the court; and no cases where defendants were dismissed due to lack of evidence of guilt... Coordination between the procuracy and other prosecuting agencies and relevant bodies has been strengthened. In the first six months of 2025 alone, the People's Procuracy of Region I handled 224 cases involving 432 defendants; resolved 224 cases involving 432 defendants (100% completion); handled 249 cases involving 495 defendants and supervised first-instance trials; and issued 2 recommendations requesting investigative agencies to rectify violations in investigative activities...
Furthermore, the unit has identified the application of information technology as a key and breakthrough task in its work. Simultaneously, it has implemented "digitalization of records" in various operational stages, improving the quality of presenting documents and evidence in image format at court trials; and has focused on applying software for managing directive and operational documents, internal email software, and software for managing criminal and civil cases of the Supreme People's Procuracy. The unit has effectively implemented measures to promote thrift, combat waste, enforce democratic regulations, internal spending regulations, and manage the use of public assets.
The teachings of President Ho Chi Minh have been concretized by the officials of the People's Procuracy of Region I through actions and work, closely coordinating with judicial agencies to effectively carry out the work of combating violations and crimes, contributing to maintaining political stability, social order and safety in the area, and contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
