The Front must live with the people, not in formality.

On October 30th, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Hoi commune (Ho Chi Minh City) held its first delegate congress for the 2025-2030 term.

Attending and directing the congress was Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. Also present were Comrade Vo Ngoc Thanh Truc, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, and President of the Vietnam Women's Union of Ho Chi Minh City.

For the 2025-2030 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Hoi commune has set 10 specific targets, including two breakthroughs: improving the quality of the Fatherland Front's staff and promoting the application of technology, innovation, and digital transformation in the Front's activities. At the same time, it will focus on effectively implementing social welfare programs, ensuring that no poor households or vulnerable people are left behind; and building Hoa Hoi commune into a "sustainable, civilized, and compassionate" development.

In his address to the congress, Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc acknowledged and praised the achievements of the Fatherland Front of the commune in the past period, especially in promoting its core political role in the great national unity bloc; implementing many practical emulation movements and campaigns; thereby receiving the consensus and positive response of all strata of the people.

In his new term, Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc requested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front and political and social organizations strive to advise the Party committees on implementing various areas of work, actively participating in building a clean Party and a strong, comprehensive government. In addition, they should closely coordinate with the government to participate in monitoring and promoting the implementation of a streamlined, efficient, and effective two-tiered local government model.

According to Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, the Vietnam Fatherland Front needs to innovate in methods and diversify in forms of propaganda work so that the people understand and see that all the Party's policies, the State's laws, and the City's and localities' policies are aimed at serving the people, ensuring that no one is left behind. Along with that, it is necessary to strengthen the implementation of democracy at the grassroots level so that "the people know, the people discuss, the people do, the people inspect, the people supervise, and the people benefit." From there, society will be consensus, and the people will be united in implementing the Party's policies, the State's laws, and the City's policies, and together enjoy the development process of the City and localities.

To achieve this, Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc emphasized the motto "putting the people at the center, as the subject, goal, and driving force of innovation to implement goals and tasks." Accordingly, each program and activity of the Fatherland Front must bring practical benefits to the people, to each vulnerable group, and to specific communities.

The comrade also stated that, in the new term, all activities of the Fatherland Front should be directed towards three core criteria: contributing to enhancing the role and prestige of the Fatherland Front; promoting socio- economic development, building a strong Party and local political system; and bringing practical benefits to the people.

Based on this, the Fatherland Front at the commune level needs to continue innovating its methods of operation, promoting the combined strength of the great national unity bloc, which includes ethnic, religious, military-civilian, and all strata of the people; organizing and implementing social supervision and criticism more deeply and effectively; and organizing dialogue forums between the government and the people in a substantive manner, aiming to better serve the representative function of the Front.

Along with that, the Fatherland Front of Hoa Hoi commune is urgently, decisively, and resolutely implementing the action programs of the congress, promoting the strength of national unity, placing the people at the center and driving force of development, and bringing the congress's resolutions into life in a practical and effective way. The commune continues to strive to soon achieve the standards of a new rural commune and a model rural commune, becoming a leading exemplary locality, associated with implementing the "digital literacy" movement in the spirit of innovation and comprehensive digital transformation.

Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc also emphasized the need to build a team of Front cadres with strong political acumen, exemplary ethics, professional expertise, and a thorough understanding of the local area and technology. This is also a breakthrough for the Fatherland Front of the commune in the 2025-2030 term.

The Congress elected 48 members to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Hoi commune for the 2025-2030 term and elected a Standing Committee of 5 members. Comrade Duong Tan Linh continues to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Hoi commune for the 2025-2030 term.
