According to Nghiêm Xuân Thành, Secretary of the Khánh Hòa Provincial Party Committee, the recent floods revealed a shortage of supplies and equipment for disaster prevention and control, especially water transport; and the communication system was disrupted at times.
To expedite reconstruction and proactively respond in the coming period, relevant units must thoroughly understand and strictly implement the five principles: accurate forecasting; timely information; focused leadership; decisive action; and effective implementation of the "four on-the-spot" principle.

According to the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, in 2025, natural disasters in the province caused 22 deaths and 20 injuries; 89 houses were completely destroyed, and 290 houses were damaged. The total estimated damage caused by floods and heavy rains was approximately 6,058 billion VND (excluding property damage to residents).
The work of preventing, responding to, and mitigating the consequences of natural disasters still has some limitations, such as: a shortage of rescue and relief equipment; inconsistent flood drainage infrastructure; limited application of science and technology; the operation of reservoirs faces great pressure when rainfall exceeds the design frequency; some localities are still confused in organizing response efforts; communication is disrupted; and people are still complacent...
The People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province has requested the central government to consider issuing specific policies to support businesses affected by natural disasters, including tax and fee deferrals, postponements, and reductions; debt restructuring and deferral; interest rate subsidies; and support for property and goods damage insurance.
