The Front's tasks must be measurable and verifiable.

On the afternoon of October 30th, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Thanh Ward (Ho Chi Minh City) held its first delegate congress for the 2025-2030 term.

Attending and directing the congress was Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. Also present was Comrade Vo Ngoc Thanh Truc, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, and President of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union.

For the 2025-2030 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Thanh Ward has agreed on three breakthrough areas.

In this context, the Fatherland Front and its member organizations focus on disseminating information and mobilizing public support for land clearance, compensation, and handover, creating high consensus for the implementation of key projects. Simultaneously, they organize vocational training, support project development, and provide access to startup capital for members; improve the quality of activities of the Fatherland Front's working committees, branches, and youth groups, meeting the requirements of management under the two-tiered local government model.

This also includes promoting digital transformation, developing young human resources; applying digital technology in the organization and operation of the Fatherland Front and its member organizations, and improving management and operational efficiency.

In his address to the congress, Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc acknowledged and praised the spirit of unity and the innovative efforts of the ward's Fatherland Front system in the past period. He suggested that in the new term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Thanh ward should continue to strongly innovate in content, methods of operation, and diversify forms of propaganda.

Accordingly, the Fatherland Front of the ward needs to closely follow the direction of the higher-level Vietnam Fatherland Front, unifying the viewpoint that the Front's tasks must be measurable and verifiable. Achievements should not only be qualitative perceptions but must also impact the material and spiritual lives of the people; the direction of activities must understand each individual and social group, and have a practical impact on the lives of each citizen.

Accordingly, when implementing the action program, the Front must ensure that it benefits the people, each specific target group, especially vulnerable groups; contributing to promoting the implementation of the socio-economic development tasks of the ward. The content of the implementation needs to be politically profound, meaningful in terms of national unity, and closely connected with the people.

Furthermore, in organizing activities and movements, the Fatherland Front must leverage the combined strength of the great national unity in a new model, with a common goal but involving many forces. The Fatherland Front at the ward level needs to research, develop, and apply a digital transformation model in the activities of the Fatherland Front and political and social organizations, strengthening management, connectivity, and sharing, and promptly receiving opinions and suggestions from the people.

The comrade also suggested that the Fatherland Front of the ward should regularly propagate and mobilize the people to actively participate in emulation movements in labor and production, socio-economic development, and utilize the potential and strengths of the locality to increase income and improve the lives of the people. At the same time, they should participate in movements to build green, civilized, modern, and compassionate urban areas; united, compassionate, and self-governing residential areas; and movements related to digital transformation and "digital literacy for the people"...

The Fatherland Front Committee of the ward also needs to focus on improving the quality and effectiveness of its social supervision and criticism work, selecting content that closely relates to practical issues in people's lives and the socio-economic development tasks of the locality.

Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc suggested that the Ward Party Committee should regularly pay attention to the training, development, planning, and utilization of cadres to strengthen the Fatherland Front. According to Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, practical experience shows that Fatherland Front cadres who lack dedication will find it difficult to complete their tasks and may easily lead to the bureaucratization of Fatherland Front work.

Therefore, Front cadres must be politically steadfast, morally exemplary, professionally competent, and possess soft skills, especially digital skills; they must have a thorough understanding of the local area, be responsible, and dedicated. When these requirements are met, Front cadres will enhance their prestige and be commensurate with their responsibilities.

The congress elected 51 members to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Thanh Ward for the 2025-2030 term. Mr. Tran Ngoc Toan was re-elected as Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward for the 2025-2030 term.
