The Lai Son 110kV Substation project has a total investment of VND 101.46 billion, with a capacity of 2x25MVA; the connecting 110kV transmission line has a length of 0.03 km (2 circuits). The project is invested by EVNSPC, and after completion, it will be managed and operated by An Giang Power Company.
Deputy General Director of EVNSPC, Doan Duc Hung, delivered a speech at the ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, EVNSPC Deputy General Director Doan Duc Hung said the project will be completed and energized before April 30, 2026, meeting the increasing load demand of the Kien Hai special economic zone and effectively utilizing the 110kV An Bien - Lai Son power line.
The Lai Son 110kV Substation will supply electricity to the former An Son and Nam Du island communes from the national grid through the Nam Du Archipelago Power Supply Project, which is scheduled to commence in 2026. The project will replace diesel power plants, helping to minimize the environmental impacts of electricity generation using diesel sources.
