Meeting with generations of National Assembly representatives from Gia Lai province throughout different periods.

(GLO) - On the morning of December 17th, the Gia Lai Provincial National Assembly Delegation held a meeting with generations of National Assembly deputies from the province, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026).

Attending the meeting were: Comrade Thai Dai Ngoc - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Comrade Duong Van Trang - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Comrade Chau Ngoc Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Luong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; along with former provincial leaders, members of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and National Assembly deputies from various periods.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the glorious 80-year history of the Vietnamese National Assembly, expressed gratitude for the great contributions of generations of National Assembly deputies from Gia Lai province throughout the years; and also engaged in discussions on the theme "Memories of a People's Representative".

Looking back over the past 80 years, the Vietnamese National Assembly has continuously matured and grown stronger, always maintaining its particularly important role in the political system, closely connected with the people, and accompanying the nation through various revolutionary periods, from the struggle for national independence and reunification to the process of reform, integration, and development.

Along with the development and growth of the National Assembly, our country's legal system is increasingly perfected, creating a legal framework for socio -economic development, ensuring human rights and civil rights, and promoting international integration.

In keeping with the glorious history of the Vietnamese National Assembly, the delegations of National Assembly deputies from Gia Lai and Binh Dinh (formerly) provinces have made extremely important contributions throughout various periods, leaving a deep impression on voters and the people.

Driven by the political demands and tasks of the nation and people; by the demands of real-life situations; and by listening to the legitimate aspirations and concerns of voters, with the wisdom, courage, and responsibility of the National Assembly deputies, the Gia Lai Provincial Delegation and its members have actively participated, contributing to bringing the voices from real-life situations and reflecting the legitimate aspirations and concerns of the people to the National Assembly.

The head of the provincial National Assembly delegation, Chau Ngoc Tuan, affirmed: The achievements and contributions of generations of National Assembly deputies from the province serve as a solid bridge between the Party's will and the people's aspirations, contributing to building the people's trust in the Party and the State.

Continuing that tradition, the Gia Lai Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies, 15th term, has strived and made worthy contributions, continuing the tradition of previous generations of National Assembly Deputies from the province.

In accordance with the functions and duties stipulated by law, at the sessions of the 15th National Assembly, the National Assembly deputies from Gia Lai province participated in more than 770 speeches, contributing to the decision-making of many major policies and decisions.

Based on political tasks and local realities, listening to and incorporating the suggestions and recommendations of the people, and conducting careful and thorough research, National Assembly deputies representing voters have reflected on and proposed many issues closely related to socio-economic development and the lives of people in the locality.

Comrade Chau Ngoc Tuan emphasized: "In this atmosphere of unity, warmth, and affection, yet also full of responsibility, we proudly look back at the precious legacy left by previous generations. That is the legacy of fervent patriotism, of the spirit of daring to think, daring to act, and daring to take responsibility; the legacy of solidarity and close, inseparable ties with the people."

The Gia Lai Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies, 15th term, wishes to inherit and develop that invaluable legacy. We deeply understand that the merger of Gia Lai and Binh Dinh provinces has placed a greater responsibility and a new mission on the shoulders of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies, while simultaneously inheriting the traditions of the Gia Lai and Binh Dinh Delegations of National Assembly Deputies.”

The head of the provincial delegation of National Assembly deputies also expressed confidence that, under the close leadership and guidance of the Provincial Party Committee, directly led by the Provincial Party Secretary; along with the support and assistance of all levels, sectors, and the entire population; and with the valuable experience shared by previous generations of deputies, the Gia Lai Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies in subsequent terms will continue the tradition and successfully fulfill the important responsibilities of being representatives of the people.

This contributes to building a more developed Vietnamese National Assembly, a more modern and progressive legal system, and creating a legal framework for Vietnam, including Gia Lai province, to develop rapidly, sustainably, and with a rich cultural identity.

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc respectfully acknowledged, commended, and thanked the valuable contributions of generations of National Assembly deputies from Gia Lai province throughout the years.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that the meeting was not only an opportunity to recall the glorious traditions and express gratitude for the great contributions of generations of National Assembly deputies, but also an opportunity to strengthen bonds, continue responsibilities, and inspire dedication to the development of Gia Lai province in the new era.

"The Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front always appreciate and hope to continue receiving the heartfelt and responsible contributions of the National Assembly deputies from all periods."

Through this, we will not only contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 1st Gia Lai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, but also contribute intellect and experience to the leadership and guidance in preparing the conditions, content, and personnel for the nomination and election of National Assembly deputies for the 16th term and Provincial People's Council deputies for the 2026-2031 term, ensuring the correct standards, structure, and quality, meeting the requirements of the tasks in the new development stage.

"From there, we will contribute to building a clean and strong Party organization and political system; promoting the strength of national unity; maintaining national defense and security; promoting science and technology and innovation; and striving to build Gia Lai into a relatively developed province of the country," the Provincial Party Secretary expressed his wish.

Building on the 80-year tradition of the Vietnamese National Assembly, the Party Committee and people of Gia Lai province believe that the generations of National Assembly deputies from the province will continue to spread the image of dedicated, responsible, people-oriented, understanding, and people-serving representatives; making worthy contributions to the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party and the sustainable development of the country.
