Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh attended the meeting of generations of National Assembly deputies from Hung Yen province.

On the morning of December 16th, in Hung Yen province, Nguyen Khac Dinh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, attended a meeting to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026) and to summarize the work of the 15th National Assembly term of the Hung Yen Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies.

Representing Hung Yen province were: Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Nghia; current and former leaders and National Assembly deputies from the province; and representatives from various departments and agencies.

In his speech at the commemoration ceremony, Deputy Head of the Standing Delegation of the National Assembly of Hung Yen province, Nguyen Van Huy, stated that from the First National Assembly to the present, through 15 terms, the Vietnamese National Assembly has been continuously strengthened and perfected, increasingly demonstrating its role as the highest state power organ, representing the will, aspirations, and interests of the people.

Notably, the 15th National Assembly, for the 2021-2026 term, began under exceptionally challenging circumstances as the Covid-19 pandemic unfolded in a highly complex manner. However, 70 million voters cast their ballots (reaching 99.6%, the highest ever) to elect 499 National Assembly deputies.

"The achievements of the National Assembly are largely due to the significant contributions of the National Assembly delegations and individual National Assembly deputies throughout the years, including the intellectual contributions, courage, dedication, and responsibility of generations of National Assembly deputies from Hung Yen and Thai Binh provinces in the past, as well as Hung Yen province today," Deputy Head of Delegation Nguyen Van Huy emphasized.

Over 15 National Assembly terms, the Hung Yen Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies has had 516 delegates, many of whom hold important positions in the Party and State apparatus; some have been involved with the National Assembly for many terms. This is not only an honor for each individual delegate but also a source of pride that contributes to the unique beauty of the Hung Yen Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies - a locality rich in cultural traditions, patriotism, and revolution.

Deputy Head of the Delegation Nguyen Van Huy stated that a prominent feature throughout the 15 terms of the Hung Yen Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies has been the proposals and recommendations to the National Assembly and the Government, such as: solutions to support businesses and entrepreneurs, especially small and medium-sized enterprises; solutions to remove bottlenecks and obstacles in economic development; policies on social security, health, education, and policies for those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution...

Nguyen Anh Hao, Chief of the Office of the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies and the Provincial People's Council of Hung Yen, delivered a speech.

These suggestions and proposals have been incorporated into legal documents by the National Assembly and the Government, contributing to the timely institutionalization of the Party's revolutionary line, the development of five-year and annual socio-economic development plans, and the creation of a system of policies suitable to reality. These mechanisms and policies have been and are being implemented, creating a compelling transformation in Hung Yen province in particular and the whole country in general.

During the 15th National Assembly term, the Hung Yen Provincial Delegation had 15 delegates, including: 9 delegates from the Central Government, 6 delegates working locally; 4 female delegates, and 11 male delegates.

Former Head of the Hung Yen Provincial Delegation to the 12th National Assembly, Vu Quang Hai, delivered a speech.

In legislative work, the Delegation organized 60 conferences to gather opinions and contributions on 142 draft laws, and conducted 18 legal surveys. For draft laws where it was not possible to hold workshops, the Delegation sent written requests for opinions to relevant sectors; and built a team of 28 legal collaborators currently working in the provincial departments and agencies.

Over 19 sessions (10 regular sessions and 9 extraordinary sessions), the National Assembly deputies from the province have responsibly participated with 828 speeches in the plenary session and group discussions, contributing to the socio-economic situation, the drafting of laws, and the decision-making on major policies for the socio-economic development of the country.

Former Head of the Thai Binh Provincial Delegation to the 13th National Assembly, Pham Xuan Thuong, delivered a speech.

Alongside legislative activities, during its term, the Delegation organized 13 oversight sessions and 19 surveys; and coordinated with the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council to organize 18 oversight sessions. The recommendations made by the Delegation following the oversight sessions were promptly accepted, considered, and resolved by the relevant agencies, addressing difficulties and obstacles for citizens and businesses.

In the National Assembly, 66 delegates exercised their right to question the Prime Minister and members of the Government. The questions raised were of interest to and supported by voters, and were addressed frankly and responsibly by the Government and its members.

In addition, the Delegation paid close attention to receiving citizens, accepting and processing petitions, complaints, and denunciations from citizens, and handling and monitoring the resolution of these petitions, complaints, and denunciations. The Delegation attended 73 sessions, received 147 citizens along with the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, and representatives of relevant departments and agencies; and received and processed 1,308 petitions and letters sent to the Delegation and its members.

Not only did they fulfill their legally mandated role as National Assembly deputies, but during their term, the Hung Yen Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies also actively participated in social welfare and gratitude-related activities according to programs of the Central Government and the province.

“To achieve these results, over the past 80 years, the National Assembly deputies and the Provincial National Assembly Delegation have always received timely attention, leadership, and guidance from the Central Government and the province; close and effective coordination from the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee at all levels, and various agencies and departments in the province; and especially the trust, assignments, contributions, monitoring, supervision, and assistance from voters and the people in the province,” Deputy Head of Delegation Nguyen Van Huy affirmed.
