In his opening remarks at the training course, Dr. Nguyen Hong Cau, Deputy Director of the Ca Mau Provincial CDC, emphasized that the Expanded Immunization Program (EIP) plays a particularly important role in preventing and controlling dangerous infectious diseases, contributing to protecting and improving the health of the people. However, in the context of many changes in organizational structure, management areas, and grassroots medical personnel after the merger, the EIP is facing many difficulties and challenges. Therefore, the training course is an opportunity for units to exchange practical experiences, promptly resolve existing problems, and at the same time enhance the professional capacity of local medical staff, contributing to the effective implementation of the EIP in the new phase.
During the training course, participants received updates on essential topics such as: the results of implementing the Expanded Immunization Program (EIP) at the commune level in Ca Mau province during the 2023-2025 period; key activities to strengthen EIP work in 2026; disease surveillance in EIP; management of vaccines, immunization supplies, data and reporting; implementation plan for interventions to strengthen EIP; management of immunization subjects on the National Immunization Information Management System (NIIS); guidance on statistics, data exploitation and use of immunization data on the system…
