Opening of the 2025 National Residential Mass Arts Festival

Participating in the festival are 12 mass art troupes, including: An Giang, Dong Thap, Vinh Long, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Quang Ninh, Son La, Phu Tho, Can Tho, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi .

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of An Giang province Nguyen Van Mao said: In recent years, along with socio-economic development, An Giang has always focused on developing culture and family; constantly investing in mass arts movements, linking cultural activities with building and developing increasingly rich and sustainable grassroots cultural life. In particular, the 2025 National Mass Arts Festival in Residential Areas is an activity of profound political and cultural significance to honor typical residential areas, collectives and individuals actively participating in the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life".

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Mao, the Festival is an opportunity for localities to meet, exchange, learn experiences, introduce regional cultural identities, and at the same time arouse the spirit of solidarity and cohesion in the community, an important foundation of the great national unity bloc. This year's Festival not only demonstrates the strong vitality of the mass cultural and artistic movement, but also contributes to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, spreading the spirit of "creativity - humanity - connection" in social life. Through performances of music, dance, folk songs, folk dances, and traditional musical instruments, the image of the Vietnamese people who are kind, united, love their homeland and love life will be vividly portrayed and spread to all people.

Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Quoc Huy said: The cultural and artistic movement in residential areas in recent years has developed strongly from villages, hamlets, residential groups, the cultural life of the people is increasingly rich; cultural values are preserved and promoted. The cultural and artistic movement has contributed to building and fostering revolutionary ideals, values of truth, goodness and beauty; improving the spiritual life and cultural enjoyment needs of the people. From there, it has strengthened the trust of cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in the leadership of the Party and the management of the State; at the same time, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere, making an important contribution to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals and tasks.

The festival aims to propagate and mobilize people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; praise the tradition of national solidarity, the tradition of revolutionary struggle, and cultural traditions; commend good people, good deeds, the spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance in the community; actively contribute to building cultural life at the grassroots level in the cause of building, developing and defending the Fatherland. At the same time, introduce and promote cultural identity, customs, folk songs, folk dances, traditional costumes of ethnic groups; promote the image of a dynamic residential community, united together to develop the economy and society, maintain national security and defense, and build a rich, beautiful and civilized country.

This is also an opportunity for typical residential areas to meet, exchange, learn experiences, exchange good practices, effective measures in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, building cultural and artistic movements at the grassroots level. This is an opportunity for grassroots artistic nuclei across the country to demonstrate their talents, creativity and passion for art, contributing to promoting the image of civilized, happy, united residential areas, realizing the aspiration for a strong Vietnam...

The 2025 National Residential Mass Arts Festival will take place from November 15-19.
