Major General Le Xuan Minh, Director of the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (A05, Ministry of Public Security ), Vice President of the National Cyber Security Association, assessed that the 2025 Cyber Security Student Competition had ended after a day of intense, fierce but also extremely exciting and intellectual competition. This year, the exam was highly appreciated by experts and the participating teams thanks to its clear practicality, closely following the current challenges in cyberspace.

Major General Le Xuan Minh said that as soon as the competition's technical infrastructure portal was opened, the teams immediately started competing with a proactive, decisive and disciplined spirit. After only 15 minutes, the first challenge was conquered, a clear demonstration of the speed, sensitivity and quick adaptability of the students in a high-intensity cyber warfare environment. The form of attack and defense really ignited a competitive atmosphere, continuously dramatic from start to finish.

During the 88 consecutive rounds of competition lasting 8 hours, the rankings kept changing, and the teams competed closely for every point. The lead was only temporary, and the fierce pursuit of the teams turned the competition into a true technological “battle” that demonstrated bravery, analytical skills, teamwork and high pressure tolerance.

The competition showed that the skill level among the teams was very similar, reflecting the great potential of Vietnamese students in the field of cyber security, a key field of strategic significance for the task of protecting the Fatherland in the digital age. "Each student participating today, regardless of their ranking, has contributed to affirming the intellectual capacity and progressive spirit of the young generation of Vietnam on the regional and world cyber security map," Major General Le Xuan Minh commented.

The teams competing in the Final Round are divided into 2 groups, in which Group A includes 20 teams representing the 20 schools with the highest results in the Preliminary Round, including 17 teams from Vietnam, 2 teams from Myanmar and 1 team from Japan. The teams compete in a model of both protecting their own system and finding ways to exploit vulnerabilities in the opponent's system in a simulated data center environment.
